It’s pretty obvious the motive for the reporters piece. He’s a SC grad with liberal connections. God forbid anybody challenge Dawn Staley and the only sport SC consistently achieves success.

You will never see any negative articles on South Carolinas coach because anything negative would be racist. But I guarantee you that she has had to handle the same type of player situations and has responded in a similar if not a more aggressive way than Coach Mulkey. This guy is lending his writing and liberal following of the W.P. to swing liberal recruits to his South Carolina. No coincidence, the writer graduated from none other than South Carolina and it happens to be the only sports program that he or any other sports writer are interested at South Carolina. 100% hit piece.

Kim’s biggest transgression is having her own opinions rather than worshiping at the leftists’ altar of insanity.
That has put her in the media crosshairs for years. For this “reporter,” the fact that she’s also LSU’s coach is a generous helping of irresistible lagniappe.
If he wishes to write a piece about racism (which while unconfirmed is certainly likely for this article) he should start with Staley — an actual racist. But that’s not the brand of racism the WaPo cares about.

People overblow that crap. My alma mater was Jacksonville State, and when I was working if I’d found out information that they had done something that would get them the death penalty, I’d have written it without hesitation because that was my job and it absolutely took precedence over loyalty to where I got my diploma.
I say that as someone who also thinks the Post better have whatever they have nailed down tight or Mulkey will make them pay and not just monetarily.
And if I had to guess the story is fallout from her not being sufficiently supportive of Griner in some people’s eyes.

The more I am hearing in this thread…. That would be pretty weak if this is all about hurting peoples feelings but not breaking any rules.
If this article doesn’t bring the goods then, yeah, I can see why Kim is so upset. Can’t just write an article suggesting she was mean to gay players.
“She’s done at LSU when it comes out” would suggest evidence of rules breaking
