Agreed. But how will schools continue to pay current coaches salaries. $10M to coach football is crazy.

Sec should just be bama and uga. The rest of us will form a new league and make all the money due to number of viewers. Enjoy, idiots.

This would be stupid for many reasons… didn’t Mississippi and Mississippi State just B2B each other in the CWS?

College Baseball in the scheme of things is not saving anyone. I think only 2 teams in the SEC actually made money in college baseball last year. I do think the in the future the SEC will be only looking for one school in each state. Dropping A&M, Miss St, Vandy for NC , Virginia and another team would be the path.

I agree. Texas impacted SWC, Big 8 and now SEC. None for the better. I would be happy to go back to previous alignments.

It obviously would never happen but I so wish everyone would just stop watching and this whole thing would collapse on all these a holes hell bent and driving this sport off the cliff at 500 mph.

I believe SWC dissolution was driven by Texas. Texas jumped to Big 8. Missouri left Big 12 when Texas complicated matters.

I would not be surprised to see A&M elsewhere in the next few years. I would say that Vandy, MSU, and A&M are all on the chopping block with that snake calling the shots.

MSU will never be on any chopping block as long as Mark Keenum is alive.

Players are simply mercenaries for hire. Coaches are paid tens of millions when they fail. Administrators are willing to overlook literally anything to win. And conferences are sacrificing long-term traditions on the altar of TV contracts. Which half is still functioning?

You are correct.

The whole thing is fricked.

And there is really no way to fix it currently.
