It'll be remembered as BAMA - 2023 SEC Champions.

I dunno… maybe that’s how YOU will remember it, but I remember 27-24. If ga was so good, they woulda been able to overcome one play.

Photos and videos prove Georgia got robbed. It’s been going on for years and we aren’t the only ones who got screwed. Bond did NOT catch that pass and that IS how this game will be remembered. Another game stolen away by Bama and the SEC refs

There were some trash calls in that game for sure. However, we shot ourselves in the foot with the missed FG and the fumble inside our own 20.
If those 2 key plays weren’t botched, we wouldn’t have lost by 3.
Blaming it on the zebras is always a cop out.

Not when the SEC refs still had flags to throw.

I don’t blame him a bit, I was going to work at least 2 more years but circumstances arose that allowed me to leave earlier. I took it in a heartbeat, left that day and never looked back or missed it. I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders.

I hope he feels the same way, he has earned it and deserves it. I respect a hard worker and he is definitely one.

Things look different with age.

Saban hated LSU so much that he told them to hire Houston Nutt.

quickly to who? also do you not understand who his best friend is and why he's never been sniffed before?

Switch their places, have the guy laughing and the elephant crying and you would be spot on. Spoiled arse Bama fans are eaten up with jealousy right now. Your program’s headed in a different direction than LSU and it kills you knowing you can’t stop it.

How bad must he hate LSU to have left them at the alter like a jilted bride, just to turn back up to torment them for 17 years?

That’s pure love, buddy. When he wanted to come back and LSU rejected him he was understandably hurt and wanted payback. He got it but gave us this last, huge gesture to let us know he still cares. Pure love.

It WAS a huge deal. Georgia should have won that game and the playoffs proved that. But Christmas came early for Bama. That was quite a gift from the refs of the SEC. All it needed was a big crimson bow.

Weeks later and going strong... Congrats

You must be an English teacher, because your main contribution here seems to be spell and grammar checking.

He knew he couldn’t win the big one anymore. Didn’t want to be the next Bobby Bowden so he tucked tail and ran.

Wrong. He could still win the big one. Beating Georgia proved that. But you are partly right about not wanting to be the next Bowden. He even said in his interview that he didn't know if he could give 100% anymore. He always said he would step down if he didn't think he could give it all and that's exactly what he did. No shame in that. Everybody retires eventually.

Saban retired because “ima get mines” became the norm and he wasn’t gonna spend the last bit of his career putting up with that shite, IMO.

Good for him.

I don't feel sorry for coaches making millions per year, but I don't envy having to continually recruit the guys already on your roster, plus incoming recruits...something needs to change.

I'm with you though about Saban's abrupt retirement, weird to me if I'm being honest.

Perhaps he and his wife had been discussing this for some time?
This could simply be someone who is tired of having to deal with constant change.
No matter what business you're in, at some point, you just say "frick it, I'm outta here."
