Its not the Air Raid
It’s the Air Raid. 130th in rushing attempts last year, outside of the top 100 in rushing yards.
Don’t let the 1000 yard rusher fool you. UDub was a team that ran the ball as an afterthought.

And?
Look, I believe in controlling the line of scrimmage and so does DeBoer, he made that clear yesterday, but it doesn’t matter how many old-school fans want it to be like it was when they played high school football or the way Bama played 30 or 40 years ago, we’re never going back to the days of a run first offense. Nobody else is, either.

Well, their starting RB had 300 more rushing yards than ours did and averaged more YPC.
I reckon we’ll be aight.

I think Robert Gillespie and Freddie Roach have experience down south, but Coach DeBoer will need to hire more coaches with southern ties.

Leach was so damned rigid that he ran the OG air raid and didn’t modify it for shite. The old one he an Mumme developed play for play. I’m talking a bare bones playbook, no tight end to speak of and a pathological aversion to running the ball.

They are all about protecting Penix and silently picking you apart in the pass game.” The Huskies’ offensive innovation lies in their efficiency and simplicity. The operation is built on one core philosophy: creating space to exploit the one-on-one advantage. It is able do that schematically in three distinct ways: Creating horizontal stretches on underneath defenders Creating vertical stretches on deep defenders Mastering individual route technique quote:Schematically, the Washington system is grounded in the Air Raid style. It’s something head coach Kalen DeBoer has cultivated in his previous stops at Fresno State, Indiana, Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois. His first hire at Washington was offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who came with him from Fresno State. While the system has always been efficient, it has exploded thanks to the intelligence and comfortability of Penix, who worked with DeBoer at Indiana

No, its not. Again passing more than you run does NOT mean you are running the Mumme/Leach scheme that is the Air Raid.
Jeez ppl

What we call it is immaterial. 130th in the nation in rushing attempts and 97th in total defense is exactly what Saban did not want as HC. Bama used to house slants at ease in the years 2018-2019 and Saban was worried about getting soft running the ball.

No insult but DeBoner needs some local southern in coaching staff.
Well, we already know that he is planning to retain RB coach Robert Gillespie and DL coach Freddie Roach from Saban’s staff. Would anticipate there would be some other guys with southern connection on the defensive side of the staff.

Just because you run Mesh/Verts (Most teams do) doesnt mean youre an Air Raid team.
UF runs Mesh and Hank, Doesnt mean we are Air Raid or WCO
Here's a little piece of knowledge for you. Coaches steal shite from other coaches.
