Or Mike DeBose.

The only Alabama coach that didn't post at least 1 10 win season since 1919 was JB Whitworth who coached from 1955-1957.

I think we'll be ok.

I mean that's kind of where Bama was before Saban. LSU had beaten Bama 5 in a row.

You could be right. But you might want to check Bama's record for 1983-1991, the post-Bear years.

It amazes me how few posters know much if anything about the history of college football. Alabama has been among the very good to elite since 1925, save for the Whitworth years and most of the decade between Gene Stallings and Nick Saban. Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas won more NC's at Bama before Paul Bryant took over than all but a select few college programs have won in their entire history. Bama will likely take a step back because what Saban has done is unprecedented but in the grand scheme of things they will be fine.

We agree. You'll basically be an "okay" program. Good to see realistic Bama fans.

There is no doubt that you will continue to win consistently. You are Alabama. But you will no longer have the dominance that you had in the sport. And that is less about Nick Saban retiring and more about the re-structuring of the CFP and the implementation of NIL. We are getting ready to see a seismic shift in the landscape. Going to be a wild ride.

People that have to claim they will be ok are nervous about not being ok.

When I am doing just fine and historically did fine, I don't feel the need to reassure folks I will be ok moving forward.

76-31-1 (.710). Better win percentage than any other SEC team all-time

Shhh, they still think they are the only ones that can compensate all the 5 stars to come to Bama effectively.
