I think its clear that he is, which kind of speaks to Georgia's program historically that you got a guy who has two stellar years in a row and its already enough to call him the GOAT for their program.

This is a bad take. UGA has been extremely competitive nationally since 2017 in his second season.

He has been a head coach for 8 years. No way any rational person could crown him the best ever. He might get there. But he hasn’t yet.

Bear wasn't a Georgia football coach.
Kirby is up there with Dooley, and may well become the best.

The only SEC coaches that Kirby wouldn't at least have an argument against are the two Bama coaches.
That would 3 Bama coaches. Wade Wallace started our winning tradition with his own 3 natties. I'd also say Urban Meyer and if we go back in time there are a handful with 3 or more.

I am serious. Five years ago people were ready to crown Dabo Sweeney the next “greatest coach ever”. For sure the best Clemson coach. The shine wore off with his inability to adapt to NIL and no NFL caliber QB. There is a whole list of coaches who were revered in their prime, but are looked at differently now.

Will there be a rule change that effects Kirby like Dabo? Will he make a couple of bad coaching hires and have some off years like Saban? Will he get the NFL bug like so many? What if there is a scandal al la Penn State or Baylor? What if he pulls a Bobby Petrino or Mel Tucker? A lot of things could happen. That is why it is a real crap shoot crowning someone the best ever in the middle of their career.

Neyland had longevity, but he had: 1 undefeated/untied season (1938) 1 year he finished #1 in the AP or Coaches poll (1951) 5 top 5 seasons. 9 top 10 finishes. Several good years before the polls started.

Neyland, did it in the 50s pre- integration it’s a different era now so comparing the 2 is not really possible, but Kirby’s era is infinitely more difficult even if you just factor in more games in a season and free player movement

Compare among the eras is possible and Kirby’s is harder.

Whether Neyland could win in Kirbys era is debatable. Kirby could definitely win in Neyland era.

You get a deduction for not knowing his name was Wallace Wade, instead calling him Wade Wallace.
