They're really fond of plastic chandeliers hanging from their pop up tents.

Serious question, where would you suggest that isn't a parking lot?

There are a number of grassy areas around campus near the grove and stadium.

Have at it

Looks like my only few options are the Confederate Cemetery, the grounds at Rowan Oak, and a small patch of trees outside the institute of child nutrition.

The Grove was awesome 25 years ago. It's to corporate and crowded now. I bought a big nice TV so I don't have to go anymore.....Get off my lawn.

Serious question, does anyone tailgate in those grassy areas?

Haha, yeah this is just urban legend I guess you'd say. I tailgated in the Grove for four years. One of the largest there and a spread worthy of a restaurant and chicken tenders were non-existent. That said, who doesn't like chicken tenders?

Cold chicken fingers.

I always laugh at this. Some people bring this because it's quick and easy and they don't give a shite but there's plenty of other fare for the picking.

It’s similar to the corn dog and funnel cake dig at lsu. Sure you do catch whiffs of corn dogs and funnel cake at lsu but it’s more a myth.

Sure some people get chicken finger. After the game they are not hot.

I’ve eaten plenty of cold jambalaya in Baton Rouge.

Like others have said, don’t come. Makes it less packed. Seeing grown men by the 1000’s wearing jerseys is pretty sad anyways.

I love the Grove but it definitely helps to know people to hang out in their tents and enjoy their food and drinks. Otherwise, to visitors it can feel claustrophobic.

Put me down as a "YES" vote.

2. Wimpy frat boys in collared shirts/ties.

It's so weird to me that people always connect this to Ole Miss specifically. Making pledges wear ties to football games happens at every SEC school

It’s because they’re idiots.

The posters…..not the pledges.

Agreed. And I'll admit that most fans across the SEC, for the most part, dress similar.

However, Ole Miss does have certain students and fans that are no longer pledges or that have graduated that still wear ties and other cringeworthy attire.

Basically, all these guys aren't 18 y/o donning navy blazers, red and blue striped ties, and khakis...

I find it funny at all the LSU fans quick to jump on our gameday atmosphere. LSU’s is fricking awful. I felt like I was tailgating outside of a Walmart the entire time. The campus is gross and a total eyesore. After 4 beers the fans turn into demons. The bar scene is even worse. Didn’t realize Fred’s was just a giant parking lot until I went there Tigerland is gross and incredibly dangerous. The entire city is a crime ridden hell hole. Aside from the actual atmosphere inside the stadium, there is absolutely nothing redeeming about lsu at all

You just sound petty now. I’ll give you that the city and bar scene are lacking, though. However, on a big game, despite the university’s willingness to accommodate its fans, it’s arguably the best game day atmosphere and experience in football.
