The funny thing is that his 2014 team had 3 OL drafted despite how bad they looked on the field under him:
I don't think raw talent is the issue with the Bama OL. For whatever reason they aren't working as a unit or adjusting to the defense. Plus, Jase McClellan either doesn't want to block or is simply terrible at doing it, so once the defender is through the line, the QB is running for his life, trying to find a receiver and most of them seem to be unable to get separation. I think they all got use to BY being able to thread the needle and make plays happen.

Regardless, they are as confused as a football bat out there.

In the history of players’s only meetings do these ever actually work?

Didn’t LSU have one last season before winning the west?

Without them, LSU wouldn’t be able to field a team

I am guessing you never played a sport possibly at the high school level and definitely not the college level with this post.. Players only meetings can be a very good and productive thing. I know you and every other LSU fan still haven't gotten over Saban leaving you and winning so many rings at Bama which is why you hope and assume it's a bad sign.. I am not unrealistic like most fans, there is obviously something that isn't clicking and if it doesn't get fixed quickly this could be the worst team in the Saban era since his first season.. I know everyone is hoping and praying that Saban has lost it and the dynasty is over, but I will not count Saban out.. I do know one thing no matter what Bama does, LSU fans are the first to talk about it.. Still living in that head for free!!

i think people are making a mountain out of a molehill here, the player's meeting is a symptom, like how we get fevers when sick to fight off the illness. i don't think bama is dysfunctional i just think the playing field has levelled, so it's kind of how will they respond to losing an edge they always had rather than them falling off a cliff

Lack of talent can't be overcame by a team meeting. Qbs blow. Online can't pass passblock. No pass rush what so ever. An offensive coordinator with less experience than a madden player, Life long Alabama fan here. After Ole Piss drags them. Yall will stop all this mess. It was a historic run and its over 8-4. Maybe even 7-5

Over/under on the number of times the word “bruh” was used? What about the phrase “Bama standard”?

I'm actually hopeful about this. On-field leadership has clearly been lacking for us so far this year. Maybe a few players are finally deciding to step up and hold everyone else accountable.

Or maybe it was a bunch of finger pointing and they are self destructing.

That never crosses our minds. We don’t even think about it anymore.

They certainly haven't lost as a team. Saban placed the blame all on Milroe.

Most of it rests with him, so that makes sense.

You think the two slow noodle arm guys Saban trotted out against USF would have won the Texas game? Seriously?
It would have been a massacre. The OL can't pass block.
A QB with legitimate running ability is their only hope.

Only a good thing if the team comes out and dominates their next opponent.

If they screw around like the prior games, the coach usually loses the team.

I have seen it several times.

Having played and coached for a long time.. yes, sometimes player meetings pay dividends.

The players have to take ownership of the team

Sounds good in theory. But most of the time I've publicly heard of this happening at the P5 level...it didn't end up well especially the following week.

They had one the week leading up to Tennessee...

Now that particular game didn't go well but they did put together their best games of the year in Florida, Ole Miss, Bama after that Tenn game. But that meeting they had didn't do much for the immediate game in Tennessee where they got blown out at home.

According to LSU fans there were only 13 players on the team two years ago anyway.
