In the history of players’s only meetings do these ever actually work?

It’s unfortunate it took a loss at Bryant-Denny and a subpar game in Tampa for that to happen. But I feel like we’re all on the same page now, and I am excited to see how the rest of the season goes now that we’re all on the same page.”

I'm actually hopeful about this. On-field leadership has clearly been lacking for us so far this year. Maybe a few players are finally deciding to step up and hold everyone else accountable.

I remember previous Bama teams having these. Maybe it’ll help. I doubt it, but maybe it will.

Having played and coached for a long time.. yes, sometimes player meetings pay dividends.

The players have to take ownership of the team

A players' only meeting just before we play them.

Great.

If true, it’d be the first thing they did as a team so far this year.

They certainly haven't lost as a team. Saban placed the blame all on Milroe.

Yes, will beat us by 4 touchdowns now. Thus is the Ole Miss way

Maybe the most unlikable group we have had since DJ Hall was our WR1.

Maybe they showed a video of Proctor letting people get around him like he was a bicycle peddler on the interstate. That OL is approaching Will Muschamp-era UF status. Only positive is that they haven't blocked each other, but I bet they're working on it.

Most of it rests with him, so that makes sense.

THIS!

Lots of talent on Utx teams the past generation but divas don't make good team success.

What happens when you lose guys like BY & Anderson. It was clear they were the ones keeping things on the rails last year.

In all of Saban's years at Bama I always felt like they just kept quiet and went about their business. Everything was about being well coached, doing your job and just being better than the opponent. This year is all about emotion. All of Bama's player interviews are all about being "mad" "mean" "pissed off" etc. Bama's teams have never really been about being emotional.

This team sounds like a struggling LSU team under Miles or Orgeron, which was always about being fired up and emotional. This can't be a great sign for this football team.

The funny thing is that his 2014 team had 3 OL drafted despite how bad they looked on the field under him:

D. J. Humphries got drafted by the Cardinals in the first round, Chaz Green by the Cowboys in the 3rd, and Trenton Brown got drafted in the 7th round by the 49ers.

Paid mercenaries playing for an aging head coach, I'm shocked that chemistry would be lacking.
