Not looking good for Oregon State, Washington State or Berkeley.

Stanford stands a better chance of landing on their feet, but not exactly sure where, or if they even really care

If true, it's good for Washington and Oregon and it's curtains for the Pac 12. Interesting to see who the Big 12 wants to pick up from the remainder.

I'm very curious about Stanford. I think the Big 10 wants to use Stanford to pair with ND if they can bring ND in (they're the last remaining team of note not in the SEC or Big 10). ND plays Stanford every year and it would be a very reasonable pairing both to appease them and add another west coast team for that part of the Big 10.

But if ND isn't ready to go to the Big 10... what does Stanford do in the meantime? Join the Big 12 and deal with potentially leaving that conference later? Go independent (they can afford it)? No idea how that might play out.

From what I've seen of the new media deal, it's a disaster. $20M/school with only streaming on Apple+. Incentives exist but they will require exceeding a threshold on subscriptions. Given that the primary issue with the conference is poor fan support, this seems unlikely.

SEC needs to obtain some nuclear weapons to prevent this arms race from escalating any further. Who’s campus can we use to build them? State?

I don't think the SEC needs to react to this. But if Stanford and ND get the BIG to 20, that's an extremely rich and powerful conference. The SEC might need to consider which choice teams it wants out of the ACC.

What happened with Cal and Stanford? I thought they were supposed to go as well.

How desperate are FSU and Clemson atm? They're probably frantically calling everyone and screaming, lmao.
