I have an EJ with the rosewood fretboard. Love the neck, it's more of a deep C.
But I play my teles much more (almost exclusively) it seems.
Edit - if I had to get a new one now, I would probably just get a Vintera model and call it a day. The Prof 2 are nice, as well....
