Yeah those 20% on top of a
swift absurd ejection, and a rejection of Auburn as a 3 seed.

Sankey’s arse should be in the jackpot on moving the sec tournament to a Saturday title game if not earlier

You can't lose to Yale. No matter who was hurt or out or ejected. SDSU beat them by 30. I didn't get to see the game, but that's a game you can't lose.
I felt the SEC was way overrated all year, but there is no way this Auburn team should lose to an Ivy League school.

No doubt about it we should have beat them even if we were down to 5 players. Just would have removed any doubt and the doubt beat us.

My gripe is that the CBM ejection happened within a few min, not with 5 min left in the game while he was on a tear. This was like a game ending injury that happened very early in the game. Our hotshot staff should have been able to regroup, treat it like an injury and get the remaining players focused enough to blow out an inferior opponent.

Exaxlty how much of our loss are you trying to put on the refs?

I am saying what others are saying. They gave Yale a puncher's chance.
They clearly did that which played a significant role in Yale even being in the game.

By ejecting a player that threw an elbow?
I get it. It was an over the top call to eject Baker. But he threw the elbow.
A couple of out-of-bounds calles.
I'll tell ya this. Looking at the stats of that game, it's unbelievable we lost. Yale had a couple more 3s and a few more FTs. We won everyn other stat.

If you look at kenpom, other than us, only the 15th and 16th teams didn’t make it to the sweet 16. SDSU and Clemson are the only outliers. We are still 4. We are among only three teams which are top 10 in O and D along with UConn and Arizona. We absolutely should have made it at least to the Sweet 16 based on most metrics.

Turnovers and sending Yale to the foul line… yale had one of the worst FT rates in the country… we managed to send them there 31 times. We did foul some late to extend things, but not that much really.

14 TOs and missed FTs down the stretch meant the fix was in?
Don't try to justify things just because it's Auburn.

All I know is that it sucks being the outlier.

It was pretty bad, I can't say if the refs were instructed or they were just incompetent.
Auburn was called for 25 fouls vs Yale, SDSU was called for 15 fouls. The refs negated our physical advantage.

Most definitely. We could've definitely overcome that if CBM isn't dumb or we execute a little better down the stretch, but the way that game was called was huge for the outcome.

Pretty sure it was incompetence. Think it was the same crew that called the GCU-Bama game, and they sucked and called fouls lopsided and left and right that game too.
It's pathetic that pretty much every game I watched they let them play outside of that crew and the ones that called the Houston-a@m game.

I agree with you here.

What’s up guys! Just woke up from alcohol induced coma. Who are we playing in the Sweet 16?
Posted on 3/25/24 at 11:40 am to BrockersFG
How much longer are we going to keep this pinned?
Posted on 3/25/24 at 11:56 am to Luke
As long as it keeps causing you and some others pain
