Get off to a good start offensively and I think we will be fine. If it’s 11-5 Yale at the 16 minute break then not the start we need.

I can’t remember every game we lost but seems we were cold starting in all of them until around the 8 minute mark of the first half. Maybe I’m mis remembering but we seem to be big time front runners

Team is emotional. Instead of buckling down and playing good basketball we are capable for the last 90% of the game, people try to be heros, make things happen to quick and get off their A-game.

The team doesn't quit, they just want to win so badly it affects their game and decisions.

I know I've seen KD get a rebound and run as fast as he can down the court and put of a questionable shot to try to close the gap, with like 11 minutes left in the game down 2. It's killed long runs we made by trying to put the dagger in the opponents way to early.

We can beat anyone in the tourney, no question, Bruce just needs to calm the guys down if we get behind and let them know we don't have to make up the 4-5-6 point gap in 2 possessions if theres 75% of the game left.

I'm sure they know about this.

"Auburn's guards aren't super athletic"

Thinking about our guards and their athleticism.

Aden Holloway isn't a great athlete or at least he hasn't shown it if he is.
Denver Jones is a solid athlete for sure. Not sure if great, but solid at worst.
Tre is a good athlete maybe even towards great.
KD is an phenomenal athlete.

Surely we are as athletic or more than Yale?

Question is do we have the guard that can take it to the rack in half court offense.

I think KD can do it fine he just misses alot. Denver is okay at that.

Surely.

Yale plays at a slower tempo… they will try to make it a half court game… defensively we’re okay with that. Like any game, it will come down to making shots and rebounding… if we shoot well and defensive rebound, it should be fine.

Maybe our biggest weakness is foul rate… but Yale doesn’t draw many fouls. They also have no real depth. As long as we get off to a good start, we should take care of business.

Denver can get it to the rack, but he struggled to get it through the net against Florida. And if memory serves, he’s had some trouble at other points this season with having himself in prime scoring position and then missing the lay in.

That definitely jives with my memory of his play this season. Today would be a great time for him to start sinking those

At one point Denver had the worst % in the league regarding finishing plays at the rim

I don’t think Ladee will score 30 on Broome and Caldwell
