I hope you are right that we're still picking at the Bama corpse. Just one transfer is pretty weak given that we have Charles Kelly on staff. If there was ever a time to flip the board completely with Bama, this is it. I firmly believe our high school recruiting will be better going forward, but it will take time to realize that on the field. Taking directly from their roster to supplement ours would speed that process way up.

I agree, PT is underwhelming, but the OLine and WR core did him no favors at all.

WRs needed 10 yards of space in all directions to have a shot at catching a ball, and even then they'd drop half those.

The OLine was an insult to swiss cheese.

I mean…at least half of those plays were clearly not just PT’s fault. I’m not a huge Thorne fan. I pretty badly wish we would bring in a transfer QB. That said, it’s crazy how many of those plays the receivers literally just quit on their routes mid-play, or the OL seemingly folds instantly and the pocket collapses in all of 1.5 seconds. Again, PT made some horrible throws and decisions throughout the season. No argument there. I just don’t think that collection of plays is as quite as damning as people here will make it out to be.

That was depressing.
I remember sitting in the stands at the Ole Piss game watching their defensive line spend the whole day in our backfield.

In some instances yes, but you have to know that your OL isnt going to hold up against top tier pass rushers. Its just not. You have to get the ball out quick and PT sits on it and misses his windows frequently. Too scared to make a mistake perhaps?

Either way, you dont want a Qb that plays scared. Ever

He still threw less than 10 passes all season.

And looked smooth doing it.

So what does that say about PT that threw hundreds of passes and still looked like ran over dog poop?

Watch the video again and look at how many times he refuses to stand in the pocket or deliver a throw even though it's clean. He plays scared.

He doesn’t have the arm strength or see the field well. I’m regretting clicking that link.
