He has a HS teammate that's already committed there (a WR) and Stanford will always have the academics pitch. They have a new coach that is recruiting really well so far. They have a Top 100 QB committed as well.

We seem to get into the Auburn vs Stanford debate every 5 years or so.

4* DE Andres Fox from Mobile was the last guy, IIRC. He didn’t do much at Stanford and wound up grad transferring to Fresno State

Ryan Johnson was a big battle that I remember from about 4 years ago that everyone thought we should've won too. From St. Pauls in Mobile

They are recruiting well but I think he was referring to the culture of the state itself not the school.

Boy we have some fickled fans, Im not talking about this board specifically. But when the coaches were tweeting this weekend everyone was poo pooing we were making a big deal about a "3 star" now he may go to one of the best universities in the world and we are poo pooing we are losing to Stanford.

Teenage kid, incredible academics, West Coast, Hollywood, BMOC on campus and a few shekels from NIL in the pocket, lots to like. But yes its a long way from home and that culture thing is very very different.

Far from Hollywood but I agree with the messaging. I think all fans are the same though.

Rocky rocky, I know Stanford is not close geographically, but everyone from Cali is Hollywood lol.

Hope the fella sticks with us.

LB/nickle Khmori House committed to Washington. We we're semi recruiting him, but one of the only people recruiting him as a DB. I didn't see him fitting in the class anyway though.. We have a lot of better DB targets right now. Just figured I would update though.

Also didn’t think he would be in this class, but I think Pink said yesterday he saw Auburn as the team to beat

JLee and Pink have taken beating on both Houses

Yeah I was looking at the DB board the other day and we still have so many targets and only like 2 spots left. I'm really curious how it all shakes out.

frick em, who needs a house anyway.. lets just be homeless lol.

Just picked up another long snapper named Keaton McNutt (Damn if that's not a name lol). All the long snappers belong to us right now.

He looks the part athletically but our DB board is loaded, totally agree. And before Pink began pimping him he wasn’t really mentioned much.

Yeah I think when he heard Texas wasn't going to be the move for Khmori then he just assumed we would beat out Washington. Reasonable assumption, but guessing he just wasn't a take right now.

I'm guessing we get Crawford and then swing for the fences with one of the 5 stars and pick up a Red Morgan or Antonio White late if we feel like we need to.

jt,

the ones we are swinging for kj bolden and Zaquan Patterson? Those two, are there others?

Zaquan, do we have a realistic chance sounds like it.

KJ who knows. Frickin georgia already has 3 of the top six safeties committed and KJ leaning as well, that would be unbelievable. Or in the words of Keith Jackson (bless him) "Be easier climbing a cactus without your britches than throwing on that defense".

I think ON3s bama site said that we are running 4th for Bolden now behind UGA, Oh St and Bama. Who knows though, they think they are getting everyone. I think its still close for all 4 though.

I don't know much about Patterson and there is Jaylen Mbakwe. He's committed to bama and a super long shot, but I think we will stay on him and Bolden until signing day.

Auburn lead for Zaquan last month, but I haven't heard much about his recruitment since then.

It happened around the time of your post, so you’re first to it

Definitely some positive movement. It was put in by a national guy

smuphy definitely good to hear. I heard a fella following recruits in Florida who said the kid is the real deal. Really a good kid personally and is playing safety because he is the best athlete on the field, could play anywhere in the backfield.
