Its Demarcus Riddick coming on Friday. JLee said he had moved the day....but he never mentioned the day he was coming in the first place so it was confusing

Was buried in their call in show from last night ... (youtube) They went into Walker White being there as well, like Corch said, with him trying to help recruit.

Mbakwe must've changed his mind because he did visit today and Caldwell has an article about it.

Here's some quotes from Mbakwe:

quote:

“It was way better than when I last visited,” “Seeing the different changes from the coaches and players, the players looked really involved.

quote:

“I see a lot of potential. I see a whole bunch of players that look ready to play, look into it, are involved.”

quote:

“It’s great,” Mbakwe said. “Just seeing both of their coaching styles, it looks like they’re going to get back to what they used to be. It’s two great defensive coaches.”

quote:

“They are kind of fighting between receiver and DB,” he said. “Great guy. Obviously he knows what he’s doing. He’s taken a lot of programs to the top the last couple of years.”

quote:

“I want to take all five of my official visits,” he said. “Auburn would be one of my five.”

Quotes from Casey Poe:

quote:

“It was awesome,” Poe said. “The culture is really good. The campus is beautiful. … And just being able to see the stadium. The stadium is massive. Just seeing that over the horizon as you drove in is just a great feeling.”

quote:

“I’ve heard so many good things about Auburn and you know, just watching them growing up, I’ve always loved SEC football,” Poe said. “The conference is better than anything else. It’s going to be the hardest competition you’re going to see. And so just knowing Auburn, knowing (offensive line coach Jake) Thornton and what’s he’s done and knowing Coach Freeze and his story, it was a place I thought I really needed to go see. Go and see the culture for myself. I was excited to be able to come here in person.”

quote:

“Seeing the culture. I got to finally see the culture and see the family and everything Coach Freeze has brought and everything Coach Thornton has brought. And it’s a lot like Lindale in a lot of ways. This culture is great here, what they’re trying to produce, the energy they have. Everyone is excited about what they’re trying to build. They’re going from the ground level almost and can bring Auburn back to where it used to be and everyone is really excited about that. … It went great. I had a really good time. I had a great time meeting the staff and getting to know everybody here and getting to see Auburn. It was my first time on campus. To really get around to know everybody and get a personal feel was really amazing.”

quote:

“I will be back,” he said. “For sure. I don’t know when yet but I will be back.

Dillon Hipp:
quote:

“There’s a really good chance they get an official visit,” Hipp told Auburn Live. “They’re in my top eight list of schools. I was impressed.”

quote:

“It was good,” he said of Auburn. “I got there yesterday and got to go into meetings and stuff. I was able to sit in the (tight ends) meetings with (tight ends coach) Ben Aigamaua. It was nice to see how it would be if I actually were to go there. I got the whole facility tour yesterday. I was able to see the stadium, the campus and do a photo shoot this morning. It was impressive. Really impressive. The facilities are brand new. It’s all right there together. And the campus is really nice as well. Really appealing.”

Hipp is impressed with Freeze's track record with TEs:
quote:

“They put guys in the NFL,"

quote:

“After this trip is done and I have a few days to look back on it, I’ll figure out which schools really stood out the most,” he said. “And I’ll decide which five of those top eight schools are going to get (officials). I kind of want to take officials in June or sometime this summer. I’ll make a (commit) decision) off that.”

Per Pink, Kamarion Franklin is staying overnight and will have a "part two" visit tomorrow. Also posted it's possible we could get an OV from Bradley Shaw and he'll visit for A Day.

Bradley Shaw:
quote:

“The coaches really showed me that they love me,” he said. “They showed me a lot of love. It means a lot. It shows me they care and they want me.”

quote:

“Just see how similar it is, how different it is, how they operate and the drills they do,” he said. “They were flying to the ball. I was watching the (middle linebackers) a lot.”

On Coach Aldridge:
quote:

“He’s a cool guy,” Shaw said. “He makes it very easy to learn. He will walk through it with you and stuff like that.”

quote:

“The coaches, they develop you mentally and physically,” he said. “That really stands out to me. It means a lot. They not only want to get you to the next level, they want to get your brain to the next level, too.”

Asked if he will take an OV:

“Yessir,”

Jalyn Crawford:
quote:

“I really like Auburn,” he said. “Auburn is definitely up there for me. I like the coaches, the facilities and how they treat people. They treat people with respect all the time. That’s a big thing that I’m looking for.”

quote:

I really liked it,” he said. “Everybody was on the hop. Nobody was walking on the field. That’s always a good sign. I liked that. It was a good environment, a good place to be. There are a lot of good things going on around here.”

quote:

“This is the first day that I could see the coaches actually coach and I really like what I saw,” he said. “(Etheridge and McGriff) were always trying to correct the little things. They were always correcting someone and trying to make them better, get them to the next level so they can be successful.”

quote:

“I talk to Coach (Hugh) Freeze all the time,” he said. “We have a really good relationship. We always talk. Almost everyday we talk. That will be a big part in where I go; how much I talk to the head coach and if they really want me and how they go about the situation.”

He's being recruited as a nickel or corner more than a safety per the article by JLee.

quote:

“I’m going to try and get back to the spring game (April 8),” he said. “And I don’t have a date, yet, but (Auburn is) definitely going to get an official visit.”

quote:

“From what I know, (my dad) really likes it,” Crawford said. “We both really like it.”

It feels like recruiting did during the Chizik era again. It’s good to be back to that.

I would definitely use both tragedies to negetively recruit both schools. Its not stooping low to warn parents of the dangers of sending their kids to bama and uga.

And now allegedly thUGA is being investigated by the NCAA for major violations. Negative recruiting time indeed.

I got a better chance of waking up tomorrow with a 14 inch flaccid hog than UGA does of getting in any serious trouble with the NCAA.
