Ga Southern had 3 of the top 5 sunbelt WRs based on number of receptions in 2022… kinda cool.

I think I somewhat like this hire, but maybe that's my bias talking.
The WR corp at GA Southern this year was pretty good (I think they had one of the best in the G5), but I don't know his talents will translate to Auburn.
Was hoping for Peeler but I'm fine with this one

Yeah… the turnaround Ga Southern has this yr in their passing game is pretty impressive for a program that’s historically been so run heavy.

Just finished updating the career grades of all WR coaches since 2009 in our database.
And oh man did we find a new diamond in the rough. We gonna be ?? all over his career arc because its been exceptional so far

What kind of analytics can be reasonably attributed to a position coach? This seems like snake oil, but I’m happy to be educated by someone that can explain it without buzz words.

Have never look into what this guy's selling. Usual secret recipe for a large part; however his look at the 11 headsets approach was interesting. He's mostly trying to quantify some abstract which isn't that different that Jang or Randy.

If he can’t explain what he is grading and how, why should I care how he grades a position coach.
I can’t imagine an outsider can accurately quantify much of anything for a position coach that has coached 2 years at 2 schools.

Even if the analytics is based on good info I watched several coaches lose games based on analytics this past season. I don’t feel warm and fuzzy over doing your hiring and coaching based on analytics.

I just really want to know the formula. Are these guys going back and watching receivers drop rates before and after being coached by Davis? How quickly they get in and out of breaks? How well they use their hands to beat press coverage.
I would love to see their laughable criteria. Probably the same clowns running PFF.

Of all the position coaches, the WR coach is probably my least concern. Just hope he can recruit.

Why are we bitching and melting none of us know anything about what Marcus is capable of. And outside of Peeler how many other WR coaches does anyone on here know?
Maybe he’s a home run maybe he’s a strike out. What is funny to me is everyone freaking out about every hire and possibly the worst position coach we have is Caddy now. (Yeah I know blasphemy)

I've seen GA Southern games. The WR corp there isn't that talented, but they're good. That WR group puts Southern in games when they usually shouldn't be - and Marcus was a big key in getting them bowl elligible this year.
