Not true- that title goes to New Orleans.

No. Not even close. Birmingham would be the capital of the South before New Orleans would be. New Orleans is too much its own thing to be representative of the region as a whole.

If they rotated say Atlanta and Dallas when Texas and Oklahoma enter, there would be a contract with the stipulated dates the SECCG would be in Atlanta

Atlanta would be free to schedule the ACC championship game on the years the SEC is out of rotation

Not as ideal for Atlanta to not have the SEC every year, but Atlanta would surely rather split Championship games between the SEC and ACC than Just host the ACC game every year

Teams get equal tickets.

The allotment of team tickets is the same, but about half the tickets are open market, and UGA has a major advantage in the year-to-year sales, where someone can hold onto tickets and then sell in those years their team doesn't make it. LSU fans have been outnumbered in all of their games there by the team from the East, even when LSU earned a spot in the game first.

Atlanta is practically the capital of the south.

The airport being a major hub is the bigger factor, as it's easier to get non-stop flights there than to Nashville or New Orleans.

LSU fans still aren’t over the 2005 SEC championship when UGA whooped them as a massive underdog.

As far as that game goes:

Here's the SEC Staff. I didn't go down past the Assistant Commissioner level.

Greg Sankey-Commissioner - Syracuse
Mark Womack-Executive Associate Commissioner - Alabama
Charlie Hussey-Deputy Commissioner/COO – Ole Miss
Tiffany Daniels-Associate Commissioner/SWA - Georgia
William King-Associate Commissioner/Legal Affairs and
Compliance – Washington & Lee/Vanderbilt
Dan Leibovitz-Associate Commissioner/Men's Basketball – University of Pennsylvania
Herb Vincent-Associate Commissioner/Communications - LSU
Chris Waldsmith-Associate Commissioner/Finance - Alabama
David Batson-Assistant Commissioner/Compliance – Sam Houston State
Matt Boyer-Assistant Commissioner/Compliance - Valparaiso
Misty Brown-Assistant Commissioner/Competition and Student-Athlete Engagement - Florida
Jeremy Hammond-Assistant Commissioner/Championships – Ohio University
Matt Evans-Assistant Commissioner/Network Relations - Georgia

Probably not quite what you thought.

Who frickin' cares what the ACC does? That is irrelevant.

Move the SECCG to Nashville when their domed stadium is complete.

To be fair, when they set up an SEC championship game the idea of UGA actually playing in it was remote.

The only way to ensure no SEC team has homefield advantage for the championship game is to host it every year at Dudley field and that place only has 40k seats.

Not needed. They rotate Championship games to increase attention for a game, it is not needed for the SECC. Atlant is also the major flight hub in the South.

Jerry World is a terrible place to watch a college football game. NRG isn’t much better.

Is this true for the new Atlanta stadium too?

Why do LSU fans harp on this so much? Are you incapable of traveling further than New Orleans for a championship game?
