Keep holding onto your history. We weathered that storm for a long time. While you concentrate on your accomplishments of the past, we are concerned with the present and the present is that Ole Miss is a program in much better shape than Auburn.

Auburns biggest negative that bites them in the arse every coaching search is the complete disfunction of the boosters and board members. It’s no secret and it’s what keeps quality hires away. That’s why they end up hiring a 5 19 Gene Chizik who falls arse backwards into a natty before being run off for the Gus Bus. Gus comes in next on fire but the wheels eventually come off and the bus runs out of gas when Florida and Georgia stop sending us their castaway qb’s. You get a guy like Harsin from fricking Idaho because your dysfunctional reputation forces you to look elsewhere. The entire shite show with him after last season isn’t doing us any favors either, just reinforcing what every connected coach already knows. Keep smoking the good shite though and believing coach Prime is coming to save us though.

Auburn needs a Saban type coach, not for the obvious reasons, but someone who will come in and demand total control of the boosters. But coaches have huge egos and there will be someone who thinks he can be your messiah. Hell, look at Tennessee. They were off the charts dysfunctional and they righted the ship.

Some things AU may have in its favor: 1) the new $90M football only facility and 2) Saban in 71 years old. It is my opinion that AU should seriously consider Dave Aranda. He is young, energetic and proven. He will be very successful at AU....

As much as I hate to admit it and as much as I wish it was true, this is a really bad take. Auburn is a WAY WAY better job and situation than Nebraska is. They have had more success against Saban than anyone else in the league and they have a good stadium with a great atmosphere and can recuit WAY better than Nebraska. I hope they'll screw this up but they're due for a good hire and if they snag Kiffin, Freeze, or another comprarable coach they will be a factor again in the SEC West
