Our starting pitching and catching is starting to worry me. Yes we will come around as the season moves along but these first few series are brutal

I will say it again......Allsup is not a starter. He is good one time through the lineup.

Probably not a starter. We need to get more than 2 or 3 innings per game in the SEC with our starters. Need to get this win today.

I hate to be negative but I do not see one SEC quality starter on our roster right now. We have some good pitchers but we lack a starter unless somebody steps up significantly

I know Vandy is good, but wow that was one awful series. Pitching is a problem for sure.

Better showing but rough weekend on the diamond. Hitting finally showed up a today. Pitching has to improve if they want to make any noise in the conference.

I agree with the starters. Gonzo is not fully back yet, so it is hard to be an SEC starter without all your stuff.
I think Myers can be a solid Game 3 starter vs other teams Number 3 which unfortunately for us similar to all 3 of our starters.
Myers can be effective in Sunday game if we score him some runs and he can pitch without fear of putting us behind or losing the lead.
Obviously we need 5+ out of the starter which CBT has usually gotten. It helps the way everything else sets up.
I have to think that this weekend was a weekend of first for many. I think it was Alsups first SEC start. Myers first SEC games.
Also several position players first SEC games.

Lost 9-6 today. Didn’t see the score.
But these first 3 series are going to be very difficult. We knew that and know that. We just don’t need to get swept.
Just don’t start conference season 0-9.

Herberholz to take the mound tonight in Montgomery vs South Alabama. Wonder if this means McBride will be used in the weekend rotation to mix things up?
