Where do we turn for a QB with JuJu Lewis not even scheduling an OV, Deuce Knight appears locked in at Notre Dame?

KJ Lacey?

Him not scheduling a visit isn't a problem. He has been here numerous times.

This new ON3 ranking update has me super impressed by the new staff's ability to evaluate top flight talent

Why is that not a problem? An OV is a free trip with family, time is not a constraint, another chance to bond with future teammates get wined and dined on schools dime. There is no restriction anymore on the number of OVs you can take.

It isn’t hard for his whole family to come from Georgia. Being practical, you’d save all your OVs for places you are interested in that are far away.

Ideally I’d love to be his only OV and him to commit and shut it down. Is UGA one of his OVs? Because if so that would give me some worry. But if he is familiar with the southern schools and saving his OVs for USC, Oregon, or whatever then that makes sense.

Brooks was bumped up to #101 overall nationally by on3 this morning.

Bama bump still in affect. Seriously, I watch 2 minutes of this guys highlights and was wondering what these recruiting services were smoking ranking that guy a 3 star. That speed alone should make him a 4 star

Haters cry about it but I always thought it was a sign that Saban's regime was doing better evaluation work. Nice to infer that has not slipped with DeBoer.

As far as the really extreme ones go (unranked to like #125 in the country or something) I think it really just boiled down to those websites not having the staff to seriously evaluate a very large % of the couple of thousand D1 signees every year. So when a kid they aren't all that familiar with commits to a big time program they will naturally take another look at him and often realize that he's really, really good and they missed one. It got termed the Bama bump because Saban was lapping the field on talent evaluation once upon a time. Now though I bet if you tracked kids who were low 3*s or unranked when they commit to UGA, Ohio State, etc. there are similar corrections in the next rankings update.

Also big fanbases = sweet, sweet ad revenue from clicks.

There is no longer a limit on OVs for recruits.

The NCAA Division I Council announced that they will no longer limit the number of official visits recruits can make to NCAA member schools ¹. Effective July 1, 2023, recruits are permitted an unlimited number of official visits to Division I schools, unless there is a head coaching change post-visit, in which case the recruit is allowed to complete a second official visit to the same school ¹.

We have interest in Elijhah Badger, ASU WR.

Anybody know how serious our interest is?

Is he interested in us?

Watched him play a few times this year, really good player, would be a huge asset

Conflicting reports on whether we're interested in him. There is a report that we're interested in the Ped State WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith, though.

He's probably going to end up at Auburn. They seem to want him pretty bad.

If he left PSU because of their terrible QB, though, he's probably going to change his mind about AU when he finds out Thorne is their QB.
