"As a result, the value of Under Armour’s Class A shares fell a whopping 26.2 percent this morning, and analysts projected that their market value fell from around $11 billion to around $8 billion today thanks to the stock dip."

Maybe not but their CFO ditched and their stock value dropped 3 billion today.

You don't have to quote anything. I read the article

Changed it to a less dramatic term. Not sure if their problems are as isolated as one quarter though. This same company thought the "chef" was a good shoe.

Worries me if Under Armour is trying to better their position here. Would be incredibly dumb to ditch them. But never count JJ out, could go FULL retard and pick somebody obscure like Puma, bend the knee to the PTB to save money for stadium renovations. Massive fan flames, he would say 'b-b-but y'all wanted stadium and football complex and stuff.'

considering our last UA contract consisted of a partial stock option as incentive and the fact that UA stock dropped 50% in value as of late AUBURN has the leverage, I'd look at Nike.... no way I'd go with adidas, I'd rather us wear Russell.....

The deal we'd get from Nike would be extremely low. We don't offer much to Nike considering they already have bigger brands signed in all the markets we appeal to

Definitely stick with UA. However, ask them to do a brief study of the Auburn fan base and let that influence their yearly gear designs.

Go to any of the bookstores after the season, and there is a huge clearance section filled with fricking horrendous UA gear. Who wouldn't want a 40 dollar flat bill that is bright orange with alternating navy panels?

Hate to break the news to you but Under Armour doesn't design 90% of their collegiate apparel. Its done by another company and UA signs off on it.

I don't think this is as devastating to me as you think it is.

I'm largely kidding when I say Auburn is going to influence the designs of an apparel maker which I'm sure mimics designs across schools. That said, who designs it for UA is pretty irrelevant to my complaint about UA.

If Under Armour continues their basketball investment at the AAU level, I am happy to keep them.

Don't think there is much difference between UA/Nike for football, at least not to justify the difference in deal size

Fashion wise, Nike kills it. Much more down to earth with their clothing. Nobody wears big logo hoodies. Under Armour needs to go after the average American not just the athletes.

Yep

Everyday wear using tech fabrics. They can still charge a ton for it, it just doesn't look as ridiculous outside of the gym.

But they still sign off on it. They directly control what goes on the shelf. They can change their contracted designers to appease their market.

Really this is my only gripe with UA. The fan apparel line is atrocious. They finally put out some classic, traditional style pullovers and vests this year, but t shirts and polos are terrible.

Athletic apparel seems legit to me, and I think all our sports uniforms look pretty solid these days (love our BBall unis). Cant give any opinion as to the footwear, but seems like that is an area of concern but getting better.

My favorite polo shirt I own that I golf in is an UA polo for the 2010 national championship and it feels dumb wearing it most of the time but it is long enough for me being 6'4 and feels great. it is a plain navy with the logo on the chest and that is all, no stupid stripes or anything.
