I think this is a pretty shrewd move by Pruitt to have a built in excuse for a while before they realize he's not a better coach than Grantham.

My thoughts exactly...He couldn't hold us with some of the best talent on the planet and a month to prepare......UGA shelves are lacking in general....UGA fricked....6-6 / 7-5

The leghumpers have lost their minds. I am not sure there is ANY indication that AU has even talked to this kid. Nor that we actually need him.

Malzahn has a pretty good thing going at the moment and I am sure he wouldnt risk fricking it up with a direct transfer anyway. if the kid spends a year at JC and shows some awareness and change toward being a frick up, then maybe. But thats a big maybe.

Gus has shown no tolerance for bullshite. Ask Ricky Parks.

You've absolutely lost your mind if you think that. Grantham was hot garbage.

As for the topic at hand, I don't know if I'd want Matthews. I mean he barely played as a FR last year due to suspensions and injury. He already fricked up again this summer and was likely going to be suspended again. I know he has some stars by his name in high school but that's not the kinda guy we want IMO.

Would be funny if he did come to Auburn and then caught a game winning pick six at the end of the UGA game.......IN UGA lol

I'm kind of getting worried about the opening game next year, with Auburn and Louisville. Auburn will be replacing a lot of talent and starters, while Louisville will have a Bobby Petrino offense and talent on defense...

Replacing some talent, but not that much

Marshall replaced with Johnson. Fine with that.

CAP replaced with Jovon. UPGRADE

possibly Coates/Williams/Bray replaced by Louis/Stevens/Davis. Small drop off

TE could be an issue.

3 of 5 OL should return

2 of 4 DL, both Starting LBs should return, and I think the young guys in secondary have much more to offer than the expected starters...

They so mad at us on the UGA board and we didn't have to do a damn thing.

Just a bunch of swine who enjoy wallowing in their own filth. I pay them no mind except for casual amusement and a brief reminder as to why I'm glad I went to UGA.

We have our own spin off thread over there.

Never implied that he's not. I just don't believe Pruitt is an upgrade (except possibly in recruiting)

His career path is starting to feel very Chizik-y

I think that will be a noticeable drop off unless Davis blows up and Stevens shows he can do anything.

He only starts threads on the UGA board and half are about Tenn and Auburn. I feel like we should be collecting on that rent.

It's funny how a half arse rumor about Matthews/Auburn has made folks stain their drawers.

Huge drop off... Sammie Coates and Duke Williams are by far the best two receivers Auburn has had in a while. Crazy talented and in an offense designed to let them show off their abilities.

There is no way he would survive. We are going to play the Lewis catch 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times next year on the jumbotron. He would not survive it

Technically he was going for the INT. It was JHC who came over being greedy and tipped the easy INT up for Lewis to make a play on.

If the coaches used that approach with Cam or Nick we would still be chasing a SEC title. He is a talent you don't pass on if available. I say let him walk on like he will have to his first year. Prove he wants what can be given to him. If he fricks up, send him packing.

In fairness to Nick and Cam, they had a single incident to their credit. They didn't show a pattern of immature stupidity like Matthews. Matthews is a multiple offender and a dumbass.

Cam Newton had multiple "run-ins" with negative aspects at Florida... "Cheating", numerous tickets (speeding, traffic, and so forth), and the laptop incident...
