There is a hilarious split on the realistic dawgs who want to win and would do it with a player who got I trouble and those who want "honor".

How quickly they forget that Hershel was given a car.

Yeah it looks like there's a handful of them who don't GAS about "ethics" and just want to win a title, and then some other looney tunes who think that morals and a clean reputation is above everything else and would be happy going 7-5 every year as long as they do it the right way. That kind of thinking is crazy to me.

I remember AU fans saying the same thing when Tubs was spitting out mediocre seasons. Frick that noise! Give me championships or give me death!

Per AUC FWIW

-Tray is leaning to transfer to AU
-Should know soon, possibly this week
-don't know on the logistics of when he would be eligible to play or if he would be a walk on like Golson or on scholly.

They claim it was Clemson who gave him the car.

Interesting if you think about it because according to opposing fan logic since MSU offered Cam money, Auburn actually paid the money. Hmmmmm

Things look good for Tray Matthews to transfer to Auburn, per Kipp Adams.

Not a fan

Don't get me wrong, I will love the UGA bitch fest, but I think this guy has too many issues even for us

I won't question Gus Malzahn after seeing what he did with troubled cases such as Cam Newton and Nick Marshall. I also won't question him because we know he will get rid of players that don't buy in, such as Ricky Parks (2), Erique Florence, and so forth. He's all for second chances, and I agree with that, but he won't just let players walk all over him.

Tray Matthews will walk-on, learn how to become a great player and quality citizen off the field, or he will be kicked to the curb - and probably attend Junior College.

That's kind of where I am. Remember who brought up him returning an INT for the win against UGA first... At least in this thread

Those examples had the shine knocked off of them when they had to go to JUCO after being big shot recruits and BMOC at a major school. Matthews hasn't had that yet.

There is absolutely no downside in taking a shot with Matthews if this is where he chooses to walk on. He could be an elite talent that could really beef up our secondary in time. If he doesn't do what is needed, he will be let back go like Parks and nothing is lost.

I want him. He has the talent to help us. If he screws up he won't last. We are loaded with upperclassmen and have leaders on our team and a HC that leads by example and sets the example.

Risk reward is a no-brainer here imo.

Exactly.

If he can't change, we have another Ricky Parks 2.0 - just a walk-on leaving the team.

if he can't fly right he's off the team with no damage done.

On the other hand............. what if he gets caught taking cash, cars and women while selling autographs?

I'll defer to Gus on this one.

Don't know too many boosters trying to get close with a transfer who got kicked off UGA.

Also, by the time he does something worth getting benefits, he will be in line to jump to the NFL and he won't need it

He will make the Georgia game a much richer experience

especially if he can pull down an interception.
