With Josh Harvey-Clemons and Shaq Wiggins there, I will assume Tray Matthews also goes there.

UGA fans are acting happy that all their DBs are leaving but I don't see how they think losing all that talent is going to make them better.

Its a win for Auburn whether he comes here or not. Its better to play half at UGA and half at UL than all on UGA with the rest of their talent.

I'm kind of getting worried about the opening game next year, with Auburn and Louisville. Auburn will be replacing a lot of talent and starters, while Louisville will have a Bobby Petrino offense and talent on defense...

If Tray Matthews goes to Louisville, though, there is no question about the college that should be nicknamed Second Chance U.

He was a true freshman starting in the SEC. Shaq Wiggins definitely has talent.

Do dismissed players have to sit out only one year?
Being dismissed does not matter. UGA has to sign off on what schools he can transfer to and sit out only 1 year if he goes on scholly immediately. The only other way a player can only sit 1 year while transferring is walk on for a year. Otherwise a player has to sit 2 years. There is medical exemptions that allow for immediate eligibility but I doubt that applies here.

We are sitting against the 85 limit anyway which is another reason I think Louisville is the destination. I think Richt would give an immediate release for Tray to go on scholly immediately there while sitting a year.

If he walked on, it wouldn't matter if we were against the 85 scholarship limit this year, would it? We could just open up a spot for him next year and then he would also be able to play since he sat out a year as a walk-on... Or am I off base with my logic here?

My whole point was I very highly doubt he would pay his own way here for a year, especially OOS tuition, when he can get a free ride to sit a year at Louisville if given the release to go there by Richt.

Even if Richt was willing to give a release for Tray to go to AU we don't have a scholly to give him right now.

I am pretty sure all athletes have to be taking at least 50% of full time per semester. That's 6 hours at AU which is $7000 for OOS kids. For the required 2 semester that's $14000. That, by no means, is chump change.
