How are things going in it?

Doing fine considering we have not even practiced for the first 4 tournaments. Lake Keowee, Lake Russell, Lake Oconee and Clarks Hill. Got checks in 3 of them. 6th at Clarks Hill. There are abut 200 teams in every tournament. Top 75 in points get to fish the Championship on Lanier in October in a 3 day event for 35K.
Sitting 6th in points right now with just Lake Hartwell left this weekend. Should be oK

Its been fun for me. I Have not fished any tournaments in 10 years. Nice to be back out there a little and out of the shop all the time. Was hoping to practice for Hartwell this weekend a few days but the weather looks like crap. Not sure my plan now. I may just show up on Sunday and wing it like I have the first 4

I fished in the Mobile Big Game Labor Day tournament with SERIOUS tournament fishing team. They said that if they ever place 2nd or 3rd in any category, they make the 1st place guy take a poly in hopes that he/she will be so nervous that they get DQ'ed by the poly. You tournament fishermen play some dirty pool.

Im not familiar with that type of fishing but in bass fishing, the tests are predetermined. Tournament directors tell everyone before the event when Polygraphs are going to be used. Not many tournaments use them these days because of the expense but some do.

Its not up to the fisherman. The people throwing the events determine it.

Without comment on this case, I keep tellin' y'all about Title IX. The OCR in the Dept of Justice has made a sword of Title IX over the last 20-25 years to slash through constitutional rights in order to implement their radical feminist agenda.

Thanks Trumpkin for regurgitating what you learned from AM radio. Now show up where in the constitution that Rice had the right to attend Auburn University.

Nice job defending a rapist you piece of shite.

Sexual assault on campus should not be college-adjudicated.

So a college shouldn't be allowed to make student disciplinary decisions on things that occur on campus?

WTF you smoking man?

You are typical. beatbammer disagrees with you, therefore he should be called names. Maybe throw him in prison for not following your group think while you are at it.

Now Obamaite, show US where Landon Rice was convicted of rape?

With all that's occurring on college campuses and high schools around the country men need to have permission slips and blood alcohol analysis readily available prior to the act for proof of consent before engaging in sexual acts from a legal standpoint ... sad but true.. CYA

No, a college should have absolutely no business in the investigation of an alleged federal crime. This should be common sense as they not only suffer from obvious conflict of interest, but they also clearly do not possess the means or expertise to conduct a fair investigation.

They absolutely should. However, sexual assaults shouldn't fall within the purview of Title IX (an anti discrimination act) and universities should engage in due process in administering disciplinary decisions.

As it relates to Rice, I think there was sufficient evidence to kick him out of school. I hope the process afforded to him was fair. This article casts some doubt on whether it was or not.

I am sure he means in a criminal sense.

They can say he violated the "Permission Slip prior to Sex" rule of the student conduct code, but labeling someone a rapist, or guilty of sexual assault is not the job of our extremely liberal Universities.

Beatbammer was arguing that universities shouldn't have disciplinary hearings on this topic, not that the process may be flawed

The only thing the university does is suspend the student + write on their transcript what university policy they were suspended for

quote:

suspended for violations of the University's Policy on Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct and Other Forms of Interpersonal Violence

They don't make any legal claims

The conversation was in the context of Title IX, but he isn't wrong that Universities typically aren't equipped to properly deal with these matters. The text messages are likely enough in the Landon Rice case, but there are lots of false claims or regret assault allegations that have or potentially could ruin a kid's life and universities have proven to be poor at fairly dealing with them.

It's really a tough issue for higher education.

Title IX sucks.. No one will condone sexual assault, but all a women has to do is say she said no and the Male student is screwed.

Silly person.

I see your reading comprehension level is at approximately the same level as your spelling. Along with four of your dearest, closest Brannigan-level buddies.
