If we field a top 50 defense we wouldn't have posts like that. I think it only looks like we're coming out of the gate slow b/c our defense has been so terrible

I hope next year this theory is able to be tested! I think you are right!

Yeah but Bama has Coker. He was on the preseason Heisman Watch list. He's that fricking good. JJ is gonna light it up though. I hope we have the supporting cast around him that's up for the challenge.

Agree wide open.

This was our year though . Hard schedule, yes, but all of our rivals were breaking in new QB's. Got to # 2 in the CFB poll, then went completely backwards.

Weird, when AU played AR, it looked like it was a week after the Champ Game, team got worse. That is the most troubling thing.

Bowl game, don't care, but a microcosm of the entire season.

There are probably 9 or 10 teams that have legitimate shots to make it to Atlanta.
Respectfully disagree.

-Miss St is graduating everybody and will go back to being Miss St.
-Arky will be better but not good enough tpo win the West.
-Ole Miss will still have QB and RB issues for 1 more year.
-LSU could very very good but we will have to see who they get top coordinate that young talented D. Also they need Brandon Harris or the other QB to step up big to win the West.
-TAMU could win the West but that will all depend if Sumlin let's Chavis have physical practices and actually go 1 v 1s some
-Bama is very talented yet again and if any one of their highly rated QBs steps up then they can win the West. They will have a murderous October schedule thou @ UGA, Arky, @ TAMU, and what I believe will be a very much improved UT
-Auburn's case was stated well in the OP and I think we win the West

-Vandy is Vandy
-SC will not be any better and I think UK replaces them as a bowl team
-UK will be better but not good enough to win the East
-Mizzou will be solid but UGA, UT, and maybe UF will just be better
-Florida has the talen and if McElwain can turn around the O they can win the East
-Tennessee will be the most improved team in the league and will challenge UGA for the East
- UGA will be as good or better at every position except maybe QB. If Ramsey develops at all they should win the East.

When you break it down there are only about 5 teams that have a known legit shot at ATL. AU, Bama, TAMU, UGA, and UT. Up to 7 if LSU gets a DC that keeps developing the D and a QB steps up plus UF if the O gets turned around and the D stays good.

After 15 practices, did you feel the team was better in and way?
Did anybody seriously and foolishly expect them to be? We got what we got for 12 games this season. No reason to expect different from game 13. Half the practices were for the 3rd and 4th teamers plus Harbison did not know what to do as a DC even though he's done it before.

but I love the fact Bama can't play a shitty schedule, and back into the title game anymore.
There is no such thing as a shitty schedule in the SEC bruh, especially in the West. Softer yes. Shitty....Absolutely flat out not.

Not with the murderous schedule we had. 2015 always looked to be better. We should improve overall at each position except maybe WR, QB, and OL and there should not be drop off overall at those positions. JJ should make up for not being the elite runner Nick was by being a more accurate and consistent passer. IMO there are 2 keys on O. 1. WRs get open or JJ be able to throw them open. 2 Golson has to do a good job at Center to limit the effect of Reese graduating. On D, Carl get healthy and everybody please get better. Even somewhat better and we should win the West.
