Not worth summarizing. It's just another poster.

Although not official, I think we can turn our attention to possible new coaches... Names I have heard...
Kirby Smart
Gus Malzahn
Petrino
Fisher, Jimbo
IF I had to predict, it will be Kirby...

I don't see Kirby Smart happening.

I just don't see us hiring someone who has never been a head coach.
And I really think we need to completely clean house in the athletic dept. That means getting rid of Jacobs and that whole crew.
Sometimes it is good to get a person with ties to Auburn, but IMO we need to hire a proven AD w/ no previous connections to Auburn at all. Just get a fresh start with a real professional. Stop fooling around with this good ol' boy network.

Interesting bit posted by AUHeel on the Bunker.
Speechless.

hen, the wheels fell off. As I said, he lost his fricking mind. He meddled in the offense. He is paranoid beyond belief. He let certain guys and coaches get away with things he shouldn't have. He thinks he didn't get enough credit for the MNC. Blah blah blah. He built a team on the concept of family and then did things to upset that apple cart like not going to a funeral of a former player that most of the team attended. And the team fell apart.
Speechless.

Has to be Ed Christian funeral, I found an article where it says he was at Phillips, all I saw on a quick search was just coaching staff for Christian

He lost the team.. Lots of reasons for that, but those no longer matter. What matters is how we move past this nightmare.
We will hear a lot of names, but to be successful it needs to be done outside the media.

LINKI asked Petrino Sr. if his son had spoken to any schools about vacancies or potential vacancies. He initially said that his son had spoken to one school, and that it was not UK. Just before he named the school, his wife, Patsy, stopped him from saying anything more. Petrino Sr. told me he would get in trouble if he kept talking.
So, who was the mystery team? My hunch is that it was a school that’s expecting an opening soon, but does not have one yet. Maybe Auburn?

Basically, he was way in over his head.
After seeing the shite the past two year, it's not hard to fathom.
Yeah, history is going to be pretty cut and dry when it comes to the legacy of Gene Chizik.
Bad coach.

Just wanted to discredit this real quick, if he is in fact referring to Ed Christian. Ed is from my hometown and I talked to several people that saw Gene in Valdosta around the time of the funeral. If that is true it would have to have been Ladarius Phillips' funeral.

The news reported he was at Phillips funeral as well. So that is pretty much debunked unless it is about the assitant that died before LSU
