My bad. I was saying that I believe DM will be starting at the 1, sooner rather than later and not playing nearly as much at the 2.
All good, just wanted some clarification to know I was picking up what you were putting down

but he does not have the prototypical size for a 2 in college ball. 6'1 185 isn't very big in college.
I agree, that size isn't as big an issue if his athleticism can compensate.
I view Mitchell's role as similar to Melo Trimble at Maryland. Size wont be an issue on offense and Mitxhell seems athletic enough to stop 2s at the college level.
If it was up to me though, we'd hire someone from Xavier or Virginias staff and start implemented a pack line 1-3-1 variation. With the new rules it is the ideal defense for college

I'm missing the reason why we would want to play our PG at the 2, with Heron and Brown being more than sufficient.

I hope so, but with offers like these, I'm starting to get flashbacks to recruiting before the CBP era.

Adam ZaGoria tweeted that Mustapha Herron is considering transferring and will have a decision in 1-2 weeks.

Heron has a tonof potential just got to get out of the AAU mindset of throwing everything up.

Looks like he's based out of NYC too.
Wouldn't be surprised if Heron went home for spring break and said something completely innocent to a buddy like "Man, it's nice to be back in New England" and like a bad game of telephone it spread and mutated until you have a NYC based beat writer tweeting about Heron looking to transfer and considering St. John's

How often do you hear about a kid considering transferring? Sounds odd. You would think you wouldn't want those thoughts made public in case you stay.

In regards to your Mitchell as 2, Bruce has always loved the idea of having two ball handlers on the court w primary PG / secondary
'14- TSD/KC (Pre Injury)
'15- Canty/TSD , Canty/Dunans (pre cluster Frick)
16- Harper/RoJo + Dunans (even some RoJo/Harper)
Neither Brown nor Mustapha are true ball handlers. More to the point, for Mitchells development allowing him extra time on the court without the pressure of being the guy would be a positive
Finally, whether you agree or not Bruce plays Okeke/Purifoy as a stretch 4 traditionally. We may move them to the 3 for minutes but Heron has played the 3 and based on what I've read that is a natural fit for where we want him

Jay Tate said he would be surprised if Steven Pearl wasn't hired as the assistant
I don't see it. Pearl isn't so comfortable as to make a move like that. We love Bruce still but that type of move would test the fan base considering we aren't winning

How else would describe a team that for next year will have 0 seniors and 3 juniors (one a transfer that will be playing his first minutes for us)?

Alabama is getting a ton of hype from adding Collin Sexton, John Petty, and Alex Reese. I wish we could've gotten Reese.
