The pass rush was disappointing. Even so, I thought Owens gave some added pressure in the second half. Don't think he got a sack but at least he was in their backfield.

I learned that Louis still can't catch, which is sad because he's dynamic with the ball in his hands.

We learned the safeties are gonna still be a weak point this year.

We learned Kris Frost still has a looooong way to go to live up to his 5* ranking.

We learned Owens is gonna be the man when it comes to pass rushing.

We learned that this team can be dominant if everything comes together. They are definitely NC caliber.

I learned about what I thought we would see..

Marshall is still the guy. Johnson could easily lead us but our offense works better overall with Marshall. He threw the ball pretty well last night and still has the legs. We need to switch the plays up a little because Arkansas read some of the reads pretty well

Cap is a beast but still has a fumbling problem. He had better get that together. I loved his hard nosed running last night. We also have some other guys that can really add something to the running game.

Offensive line played pretty well. A few mistakes but that is expected early

Like others said, no pass rush.

Linebackers finally got in the gaps after half time. I think they were over pursuing early.

Therezie is still our best defensive player. I said that all summer. Kid is our best hitter and finds the ball.

Tre Williams made some big hits on special teams. Watch and you will see

Carlson and Duke

We should fire whoever is in charge of the clock at JHS. Not the first time.

I was impressed with Garrett in run support. In the first half, there was a play in particular where a FB or TE went to block him wide on a sweep that Justin just met head on and jammed the play back inside

Noticed that Jermaine Whitehead still takes bad angles in run support. Need to fix that quick.

I personally think NM looks more comfortable passing. He ain't JJ, but he's a lot better than this time last year.

NM looked like a real QB,made reads hit check downs and the deep balls to Melvin and Sammie were well thrown, Melvin throw was under duress but he had GREAT touch on the ball that allowed him to catch it. Defense will come into their own, no other offensive attack just scares me besides TAMU and UGA. I remember the first game last year Tre Mason fumbled and Gus kept with him and it proved to be a good choice.

The pass Ray caught was high and it was an easy throw.

Nick Marshall looked exactly the same as last year. Elite runner. Inconsistent passer.
What?

You do realize he should have been 5/6 for roughly 90 yards and a touchdown through the air yesterday, right? Sammie Coates dropped that strike he threw (which was a dime). He was going through progressions and definitely looked better than last year. His foot work and weight distribution while passing was exceptional.

His pass to an open Ray was off, causing him to one hand catch it. He also had another duck across the middle. Let's not act like he's JJ throwing it.

Melvin Ray caught it, didn't he? There was a player underneath the route...let's not act like it was a simple pass to make. He had to put it higher than usual.

One bad pass out of how many? Like I said, that should have been the only incompletion.

Who said he was?

Point being, his main issue last year was hitting wide open WRs. Haven't seen vast improvement in that area yet.

I will gladly eat crow if he improves. Just pointing out ongoing issues. But his running ability is game changing. If he does improve his passing, he has to be a Heisman lock.

I feel more confident saying Nick can hit more throws but he definitely screwed shite up. Our WRs bailed him out at times
