I think this is exactly it. In the first half it seemed like the d linemen were just taking themselves out of plays and leaving huge holes. It wasn't because they were getting overpowered. I think arky was just well prepared for what we might do and executed very well. I just wish the coaches had made adjustments earlier once they saw that.

We don't have a front 4 pass rush.

Coates catches that pass and I don't think anyone mentions "inconsistent passer".

The pass Ray caught was high and it was an easy throw. I am hoping it is more consistent but we are usually what we are in this life. I still think the offense runs much better with Marshall. JJ's lack of running made the zone read useless.

The depth we have at receiver is ridiculous. Everyone that wanted "balance" is gonna get it this year. For JJ to open up 6 for 6 not only shows that he is an elite talent but also that this offense can basically do whatever it wants to a defense

Nah...he at least threw catchable balls yesterday.

Everyone needs to understand that there's a trade off between Marshall and JJ. Jeremy is as pure as the driven snow as a passer but Nick is electric with the ball in his hands. I absolutely love the situation we are in because watching us on film has to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators.
ETA: Not that everyone doesn't already understand this. I doubt I just said anything Earth shattering

Trovon Reed doesn't belong on offense or defense

Ellis Johnson and/or Rodney Garner can motivate at halftime.

The running game is light years better with a running threat at QB... that's what worries me about guys like White in the future. Getting stopped twice on 3rd and short was very frustrating.... but that doesn't happen if NM is in the game.

He threw that ball to Ray high but that was his first series of the new season, with AU tied in a fight. I think nerves figured into it as well.

I actually wasn't very impressed with our RBs. I wanted to see Roc. I feel like we missed Tre a lot last night.

This concerns me some, but I will also give a lot of credit to Arky oline. We got some good pressure on him when it was obvious passing downs. Our pass rush didn't start too hot last year either. It took them a game or two to get going.

Will definitely be interesting to watch going forward.

No doubt our D made the right adjustments and did a great job in the 2nd half. However, let's be a little careful because Arky has talent on in their 1's and that is it. They have no depth and part of what happened is their OL was gassed.

We won't have that luxury in every game we play this year. Their line was throwing us around some in the first half. IMHO of course.

Strongly Disagrees.

4-6....of the 2 incompletions, 1 was a overthrow on 3rd and 20 and the other was an absolute perfect pass down the seem that Sammie just dropped for a TD.

Marshall was under pressure and about to get hit when he made this pass...it was a hell of a pass
