Gus's QBs as OC/HC at Auburn:

Chris Todd
Cam Newton
Barrett Trotter
Clint Moseley
Kiehl Frazier
Nick Marshall
Jeremy Johnson
Sean White
John Franklin III

Lets see, a multi-generational talent (Newton), a goddam football wizard (Marshall), and...

Welp.

Chris Todd was efficient and performed well against average-to-bad teams and Sean White was OK when he was healthy.

That's all I got for Gus and Rhett's QB "development".

We've hit on the overarching point that putting all the eggs into the Stidham basket is no way to go into next season.

We weren't running whirly birds and fb trick plays back then. Our offense has gotten even more mickey mouse since then.

Exactly. Gus' offense used to be about spreading the ball around. Reverses, WR screens, wheel routes out of the backfield. Teams didn't know what hit them. Now he calls the same 4 fricking plays over and over, and rarely goes hurry up anymore. I am amazed at him and what tf he must be thinking.

We kill ourselves in the most cultish, Auburn way possible, and invite Gus Malzahn to the collective funeral so he can let us all down one more time.

With good/consistent QB play in 2016 were a 9 or 10 win team... If Stidham (who has injury concerns of his own) can come and be as good as advertised, we can win the west next season.

I know that's not what most of you want to hear, but it's the truth.

We'll always be one outside blitz away from getting our QB slaughtered...FFS, will anyone ever make a proper adjustment for that??

This offense is like watching an episode of Fear Factor, except the contestants are running our offense instead of eating bugs. A clown show would be a step upward...

So Gus gets a 2 year run with Stidham and we see if Woody is developed? Or the whole league has us figured out and no matter who the QB is they have our number and he is exposed. Maybe Kelly can be our QB "consultant".
