Don't really think it's a carousel. It's not like Derek Mason at Vandy last year. That is the definition of a carousel. There was no consistency at all.
Gus and Rhett gave JJ three whole games, including a conference game. There was slight improvement between game 1 and game 2, but he completely regressed at LSU.
Looking at the rest of the schedule this is the best time to start someone new. He'll get a decent conference opponent at home, what will hopefully be a cupcake at home, an off week, then trips to Kentucky and Arkansas - the 2 easiest conference games on our schedule this season.

I have never thought Gus deserved to be questioned, but if what you suggest is true. I worry about him as our coach. Why would a coach give a tinkers damn what anyone else thought? That is what makes a coach great.

Coaches care about how the fans feel about the program because they are the main supporters both emotionally and financially. Fans are also just as much part of the game as the players.

Looking on the bright side, if White does pan out that would mean some consistency from this offense. We'll have White at least another couple years and some consistency at running back. We'll be back at square one at receiver, hopefully Jason Smith and other young guys like Stanton Truitt come on some more.
