We don't have one. If we can recruit one, of course they will be the QB next year. JJ is not running the read option well or he would be QB right now.

But your hypothetical requires us finding the right QB recruit, just as your hypothetical requires us NOT recruiting/developing receiving talent. In short, its pointless. I'd argue its easier to find people who can catch a fricking ball than it is find someone who has the frame of mind to run Malzahn's option offense.

We haven't played any big boys yet with White at QB.

Bama lost to Ole Miss because they couldn't stop a good passing game.

Well they did have 5 turnovers and gave up a TD off of a ball that bounced off of a helmet.

Does Sean have the players to help him?

No. The WRs aren't there, nor is the defense, obviously. This team has a lot bigger problems than QB play.

You don't need a guy who runs a 4.4 to make the read option work. You only need a guy who can make the right reads and do some kind of damage when he keeps it. White is fast enough to do that.

Key word.

Because Sean has been almost pinpoint accurate and NO TURNOVERS in almost 4 full games

Unfortunately, this is true.

The only thing that stopped our passing game today was our WR's. Arkansas didn't stop our passing game. Sean should have been 28-29/34 over 300 yds 1-2 TD's and 0 INT's.

That kind of game would have opened our running game more. He had two 90+ yard drives. He drove us down to give us a chance to tie the game with no time outs. I will give our WR's praise here because they made clutch catches. They couldn't in OT #4.

Sean is not responsible for the defensive play either.

I couldn't have said it any better

Our defense has been terrible the previous two years, but our O has made up for it.

Agreed and only reason I agreed with it.

We were 8-5 last year and 4-4 in the SEC, so no our offense didn't make up for it.

That was with an elite dual threat and two elite WR's

Oh and it couldn't win us the NC in 2013 either.

I'd rather have a great read option qb with accuracy problems than a pinpoint accurate passer that can't run in this system. One of the reasons I asked what our coaches have been thinking on the recruiting trail.

It baffles me that the same people that think White can't win in this offense are the same people that think JJ could if he improved

They're the same type of QB.

It really is hilarious that some people STILL consider JJ a "dual threat".

I'd rather have a defense that wasn't soft as tits.

Uh

I was full Gus needs to change his passing strategy to cater towards SWs strengths and SW looks solid not "great"

SW strengths: Decision making, accuracy on short to intermediate throws, tough

SW Weaknesses: Average 20+ yd passes, not true read option threat

Gus offense: Play action 20+ yd passes

Let's be clear. Ricardo Louis has hands of stone. Dude dropped 5 balls at least by my count. Sean white should kick his arse all the way back to auburn.

That 8-5 could've been 10-3 easily. I know it wasn't, but we are hoping for 6 wins this season.

I like firm tits. A firm defense would be nice as well. No saggy tit defense. Maybe we should name this defense the STD. Saggy Tit Defense.
