We have the chance to win any of our games left. None of those teams have been so dominate we could not win. But we have no idea how this team will travel. Lots of young guys playing.
Next week will be a big game for them. State was off this week and we are pretty beat up. Going on the road to Starkville will be a test. Come out of there with a win and people will really start to be positive..

Yep, if we continue to improve as we are, we will win a bunch of ball games the next 3 years. I could see that number being as high as 40.

I am really starting to like this team. Defense is definitely the best we have had since the Tubberville days. No doubt that if they stay healthy, the defense can keep us in every game.
I'm hoping the offense can continue to improve each week. I like what I have seen from Lashlee calling plays. We aren't messing with the qbs anymore and finally giving Sean a chance to succeed. I love how physical of a runner Kerryon has become. We knew he was a playmaker, but he is proving he can run inside and isn't afraid to run over people. The one two punch of him and Pettway is fun to watch. We have some young receivers that are getting more playing time, and an oline that I hope just continues to gel and get better throughout the year.
Can our relatively young offense get better throughout the season? Can we start scoring touchdowns in the red zone? Can Lashlee call some good games against SEC competition? Those are my questions, but I'm cautiously optimistic. The schedule sets up well for us from here on out and I really think we can beat every team left on the schedule. Ole Miss has a great qb and a ton of talented receivers, but they are one dimensional and their defense isn't great. They are very beatable with the defense we have. That could be a game of two 5-2 teams fighting to stay alive in the west and set up for an exciting end to the season.
But with that being said we have to take care of business this weekend. If we are really making the progress I hope, we should handle Miss St. easily. Anxious to see how we play in our first road game.

Not to be rude but we already have 2 loses. If we lose to Ole Miss,Georgia and Bama that makes us 7-5. That's not so great.

You're right. Math is hard.
Either way, that's what I see.

UL Monroe - W
at MSU - W
Bye
Arkansas - W - They have to play Bama and Ole Miss the two games leading up to this one. Plus, we get them at home.
at Ole Miss - Toss up/L - I had this one penciled in as a loss before the season ever started. However, if our O line continues to gel and KJ and KP are both healthy, look out. Currently, OM is ranked 93rd in rushing yards allowed. If we can find a way to stop Kelly through the air, then we have a chance to win.
Vandy - W
at Georgia - Toss Up/W - Depends which UGA team shows up. Right now they should realistically be sitting at 2-3 or maybe even 1-4. We load the box to stop their RBs and make Eason beat us through the air.
AAMU - W
at Alabama - On paper this should be a L, but I'll never count us out of the Iron Bowl unless it's 2012.
Orange and blue glasses - we manage to take one from either Bama or OM and finish regular season 9-3. More realistically, assuming the offense continues to grow, we finish at a very respectable 8-4 (5-3 in conference).

I'm most nervous about MSU, Vandy and Arky. We should win against MSU and Vandy, but we just don't know how far along we are yet. MSU game is huge. If we win and hold our own against Ole Miss, I might not worry much about Vandy.
Arkansas could shape up to be the crux of the season. Unlike Vandy and MSU, you can probably make a solid argument that Arkansas is fairly close to our level. A win lifts us out of the lower half of the division most likely, and it would be nice to get closer to the top 3 level we're accustomed to.
If we can get to our rivals with 3 losses, we have a legitimate chance of moderately to significantly exceeding expectations. Perhaps more importantly, it may restore some faith that the program is actually building toward something, not simply trying to get by week to week without any clear objective in sight.

I think Auburn wins the next 6, with Ole Miss being the game of concern. We will win the Arkansas game because our D-line will be in the backfield the whole game and Arky's D is not that good. We will run wild on the ground against them. MSU should be a 3+ TD win. UGA is terrible. So I see 6-1.
