UL Monroe
at MSU
Bye
Arkansas
at Ole Miss
Vandy
at Georgia
AAMU
at Alabama

If we get past Arky at home, 8-4 looks possible. We match up well with UGA who looked putrid yesterday. The LSU game was so important. Will be fun to watch.

The good news is that we finally get a bit of a break in the schedule after playing 3 of 4 against top 25 teams. Hopefully we can spend a few weeks shaking the kinks out of the offense and get moving.

We must beat Vandy.

ULM and Bama A&M are wins.

So it comes down to winning against MSU or UGA on the road or Arkansas at home.

Ole Miss and Bama will be favored by more than 8 points.

I know we catch Arkansas and Ole Miss at a perfect time.
The Hogs play Alabama and Ole Miss before the road trip to Auburn.
The Rebels play back to back road games @Arkansas @Lsu before Auburn rolls into town.

There are some things to be positive about in that schedule. As suggested we catch arkie and ole miss at good times. However, the O is still a huge liability. We will need to find some TD's or 6 games is still going to be tough to find.

I still think Arkansas, @Ole Miss, and @Alabama are impossible games to win for us at this point. LSU's offense was awful. Those teams will score points. If we can't score in the red zone and have to rely on 6 field goals winning the game, we aren't going to beat those teams.

@Georgia is a long way away. I don't think Kirby looks all that great right now, but it's way too early to write him off. If he is a decent coach - if he is a good coach - then Georgia in Athens will be a tough game to win. They have a five star quarterback getting his feet wet and a stable of very good running backs.

When I think about the remaining schedule, I can't focus on them. I have to focus on us. We took a step forward last night. We need to take ten more steps forward in terms of scoring points to get to 8 wins.

We haven't seen how this team plays on the road yet... We're pretty young, especially on offense.

I think this team is much better than people think.

We lost Clemson bc of incredibly stupid play calling. Regardless, they're still a good team and I think A&M is legit.

Last night's game was huge for the team's confidence.

Like others said we catch Ole Miss and Arkansas at good times. Plus, Arkansas is going to be a bit of a revenge game after last year's heartbreaker.

I think with the exception of red zone, last night's play calling was a 180 from the Clemson and A&M games. If Pettway isn't injured in first half, we would have been able to wear down LSU's line last night -- look at what KJ was able to do by himself. Lashlee and Hand have time to work out the kinks over the next 3 weeks.

I don't think 8-4 is unrealistic with probable losses to Ole Miss and Bama.

Schedule lines up good for us. Assuming, Miss. St. continues to struggle, we have 3 weeks to get our offense together. Find out which WR we can depend on. Find ways to get Kyle Davis involved more. How and when do we use JF3.

This season will be weird because it will be an alternate universe version of 2012 if we had won that close LSU game and the team didn't give up. My hunch is:

UL Monroe - Win
at MSU - Win
Bye
Arkansas - Loss
at Ole Miss - Loss
Vandy - Win
at Georgia - Toss-up
AAMU - Win
at Alabama - Loss

Glad we get a scrub next week, and then Mississippi State. This team needs to take a breath, but they can build on this.

I think Auburn wins the next 6, with Ole Miss being the game of concern. We will win the Arkansas game because our D-line will be in the backfield the whole game and Arky's D is not that good. We will run wild on the ground against them. MSU should be a 3+ TD win. UGA is terrible. So I see 6-1.

Why? Their offensive line sucks, their D gets gashed on the run. I don't see how anyone could mark this down as a L. At worst, it's a toss-up.

Because I'm hungover and trying to make sense of reality again. I agree with you.

If there is a single person on staff that can figure out how to score TDs in the red zone we could possibly win every game except IB.

If play selection wasn't some type of run on almost each and every 1st and 2nd down....

then even the last game could be in play (of course with no key juries and continued steady progress)... Many posters saw progress but I still didn't see enough difference from the OC than with the HC. Yes RL finally let SW play more of his style but almost as if with one hand tied behind his back. Constantly being in 3rd-n-long is a recipe for disaster.

It is possible our only losses this year come to top 10 teams. Not a complete failure like the chicken littles think.
