Why? No one knows his standing on the team better than him. He probably decided to bounce versus sitting on the bench another year. Perhaps he can intrigue some team with his athleticism. I think he got into some trouble at AU and he was never getting out. It seemed obvious when Coleman spent the entire second half of this past season looking completely depleted with no move made to even consider trying anyone else.

Because he isn't going to get drafted? He has a better shot starting for Auburn than making a practice squad in the NFL.

Surprising initially, upon second thought, he probably made the best decision for himself. He was still a good backup lineman though and will definitely need to be replaced.

At least this only affects depth.. We aren't exactly replacing G Rob. Good luck to him in the pros

He probably knows that. Miller will get a camp invite and a chance to earn his spot.

Weirder things have happened in the NFL. Miller is a legitimately good athlete and has length in his frame. It wouldn't surprise me if he impressed a team. King Dunlap is an NFL starter despite being a perpetual underachiever at Auburn while being benched his Senior season; the dude literally "gave up".

I always got the impression that Miller wasn't real happy at Auburn.

Dunlap was a physical monster but I get your point. My thing is at no point did Miller ever stand out.
