It seemed like the staff was hell-bent on finding every reason possible to keep him on the bench. He probably assumed he wouldn't play next year either and decided to just bolt.

Yeah I also doubt he gets drafted. Seems like a bad move unless he knows he ain't starting next year

If he signs onto a practice squad he may have made the right move. Looks like he was expecting to ride the pine and it isn't like he would improve his draft stock then. He also can always come back and finish his degree.

I'm not seeing it as a two deep offensive lineman that could play for us and had a chance of starting.
