here is the only place I disagree with you and others on. And it has been my point for over two years now. Malzahn should not be adapting. He needs to play the hand that he plays best. Stop trying to bring in players that do not fit the one system that he knows how to run and adapt to them.

Bring in guys that fit the system he can run and run the shite out of it. Its not a fair comparison but a lot of fishermen do this as well. Some of you will understand that and some of you will just think Im a idiot. Again

Here is where I am right there with you. (that might scare you, IDK) We are a deep QB room away from giving bama all they want. I believe that has been the biggest negative for Gus, in thinking that he can take any QB and make it work. Not so.
We need to land Stidham, or some other GT this year. I believe Gus is learning. But you can't trade out QB's once you recruit them. They belong to you unless you can convince them to go elsewhere.

There are going to be other QB's once the season ends looking for an offense who needs them. If we miss on Stidham, I pray we get one of them.

What's sad is, with the roster we have right now + the overall state of the conference, this season was actually there for the taking, and we could've been in the playoff talk whether we had beaten Bama or not. Part of me almost wishes Clemson had blown the doors off us, just so I wouldn't be second-guessing everything so much right now. I felt 10x less miserable during our 3-9 season in '12 than I do this season...that year, at least I knew our record said what we were, but I don't believe that at all for this year.

It's bad enough playing not to lose when you're in the lead, but FFS it's worse when you're playing that way and you aren't even winning the F'n game to begin with. What's Gus expecting, another LSU '94-type game to fall out of the sky for us?

I guess I didn't actually answer the OP, but I just had to vent somewhere
