1 QB with nobody behind him is a pretty standard QB situation.

KD and NCM aren't going anywhere this year.

Woody couldn't beat out White as a True Freshman and Redshirted so saying he sucks is just a brilliant move.

Same RBs but we add depth. You act like that's a bad thing. Pettway and Johnson look good. Johnson can't be the workhorse but he's a very good change of pace.

Same receivers. Well we get rid of the guys who you don't want playing and we still have the young WRs that you just melted over because they're leaving...

Might get Stidham to compete with Sean/Play when Sean gets hurt.

I can't believe how y'all still think White sucks. Look at what happened to the offense without him out there. Look at what he's dealing with...and he still makes it work.

I am only going to discuss a few of your points because Im pretty much tired of it. But here you go for now

I neve said he sucks. I just said, if he is a strong candidate, he should have been able to win some playing time this year. Mostly meaning when White was hurt. And I know he redshirted which I still do not understand the use of it if we need the player this year.

I dont think Sean sucks. I think we suck with him at QB. Its something that a few of you can not grasp. We sucked all year for the most part with him at QB. See my Offensive post for these answers.

Im pretty much done with the Sean White discussion. I think I have made my opinion, which is not worth shite I know, known for two years and i actually think the results speak for themselves. We are not good on offense against good defenses with Sean at QB for us. And we never will be.

He's a true freshman learning the ropes. He was slated to be redshirted all year. Do you know what that actually means? He wasn't getting near the reps you want if you're going to trot out a true freshman to play against two of the tougher defenses in the conference. Imagine a true freshman playing in his third game (second real game) against Alabama...

The offense is exponentially better with White in the game but I'm also tired of that topic so I'll leave it at that.

Do you really think it could have looked any worse than what we saw the first 3 quarters or what we saw against UGA?

Well we for sure suck without him at qb.

How is it that 32 NFL teams, and at least 60 other college football teams can run the ball without a DR qb. Yet we cannot run the ball or play offense without one?

I think it would've looked just as bad. Which means we trash his confidence, burn his redshirt, and look just as bad. Sounds like a brilliant plan doesn't it?

You're probably right. I'm mostly just salty about the idiotic JFIII narrative that has kept him on the bench when I can all but guarantee we would've beaten UGA with him and at least been able to muster a few first downs against alabama.

Yeah I would've thrown him out there just to see what he could do. At the point we were at, what the coaches were seeing in practice couldn't be any worse than what we were seeing in games from JJ.

here is the only place I disagree with you and others on. And it has been my point for over two years now. Malzahn should not be adapting. He needs to play the hand that he plays best. Stop trying to bring in players that do not fit the one system that he knows how to run and adapt to them.

Bring in guys that fit the system he can run and run the shite out of it. Its not a fair comparison but a lot of fishermen do this as well. Some of you will understand that and some of you will just think Im a idiot. Again

I am with you... go out and get several DT qb who can at least throw with some consistency and stick with what works for you.

And honestly, get a fricking qb coach.

The only thing I'll say to that is that Gus and his staff are responsible for bringing talent. It is inexcusable that we have zero talent at quarterback behind White.

Edit: Franklin has the potential. We just don't have the ability to develop him and coach him up.

"a. this is pretty easy to do with number 1 classes including the top players at most spots on the field.

b. they aren't just serviceable quarterbacks. AJ is still in the NFL now, McElroy was drafted and cut and is an analyst now. Blake Sims and JPW were the only serviceable quarterbacks that he has had in his run and Sims was an upperclassmen with great running backs behind him."

Again, we have talent, so I don't buy into your "a" even though most people say this. We (somehow) get talented players at skill positions and on both lines. I believe that your "b" is overstated as well. AJ was a 4 star and Mac a 3. Not Parade all Americans like ND gets. But Saban developed them into QBs that were disciplined, and that got both to the NFL. We have nothing of the sort for QBs at AU.

McELroy is on the same level of qb as White as he won a NC. Mac is just bigger and able to take the pounding better.

Funny how Bama was able to run with non-mobile qbs, but we cannot even get a first down.

The SEC sucks and we suck. Folks loved Freeze, he got beat at home 55-20 to his instate rival who sucks. Anyone want Sumlin? Bret just lost to Mizzou. Ogeron? I hate Mullin but he did wonders for that program, but they suck this year.

Our biggest issue is the enemy within. Happened at Bama until Saban came along and everyone got on the same page.

We are better in the long run with stability.

This is the best statement on this board ever and the most true

Can we just post this as the answer to every single post on this board, close out all the threads and turn out the lights. This is the truth if ever spoken for us.

Then we can all just meet up, have some drinks and talk about women. The Auburn talk should be over after that statement.

frick, I will buy the drinks

Yeah lots of shitshows. But I gotta feel that Freeze or Sumlin are better shitshows to endure than Gus' seemingly irrational, stubborn, never ending strategy.

Everyone talks about this being about a QB. But that's just a symptom.

So, which would you prefer? The Holy roller girls' basketball coach with the massive ongoing NCAA investigation, or the $5 million a year drunk who ran off three starting QBs in 15 months? That are 1-3 and 2-2 respectively against AU under Malzahn?

We will have a worse OL so that will be different.

We won't have the depth on the DL so that will be different.

I think they could both win with our talent/program, and any losses by them would at least "feel" like we gave ourselves a chance by trying to play/call a normal game.

I give < 2 shits about their character.
