No one should melt over losing a DBs coach.... especially one who's getting a promotion.

When has that stopped anybody from melting around here?

Footaball scoop claims every possible permutation of a coaching search possiblity at the same time, I always have a hard time believing them.

That said, good luck to him if he moves on.

Oh, I remember... It was pathetic

Ole miss DL coach Chris Kiffin is following his brother to FAU... He was the only defensive assistant worth a damn.

If true good for him. McGriff seems like good dude and will be interesting to see what he does with that defense next season

Pretty much kills us with Devon Hunter (though that's a longshot) but I think all our commits are safe. Curious to see who we would target. I imagine we will throw the co DC label on them as well to try and pull away. I REALLY want Clemson's guy but no idea how doable that is. Cory Raymond from LSU would be nice but is probably a pipe dream. I trust Steele to make good hire though after seeing what McGriff and T-WILL did for us this year

I had a feeling it was going this way after I read this.........

"I'm not going to get into details about that other than he did a super job for us," Malzahn said. "And he's a very good coach. He's one of the best in the business."

I would call Ron Cooper, served as interim HC at FIU this past season.

*Was the LSU DB Coach 2009-11(Pat Peterson, Honey Badger, Mo Claiborne, Ron Brooks, Tharold Simon, Eric Reid, etc...)

Damn, I really liked that dude. He did a good job of developing and recruiting.

Now we go with Lawson's guy and move forward.
