what to do in San Fran

Besides the Alctraz thing consider renting bikes and riding across the Golden Gate Bridge, very fun. Ghirardelli factory is cool and the Castro area is pretty eccentric. Also just check out the parks and eat as much food as possible. San Francisco has the best dining in the world.

Booked at Caesar's 1/4-1/7

Were staying at the luxor right next to the Paris.

Luxor is not really near Paris. It is pretty far down the strip, towards the end of it.

I walked from Luxor after going to LAX one night and it was a long damn walk. Cabbed it the next time.

This is what service my friends and I booked this morning. I have no idea if they have any still available or not. But worth checking it out. Good luck

The Paris is 3 blocks from the Luxor. Those must be some massive blocks.

Guess so and on the other side of the street too.

Maybe it isn't as far as I thought. I know I walked it on a Wednesday night last summer at about 3am. Granted I was hammered so maybe that was it. This past summer I was at LAX again on a Wed (it is their big night) and I cabbed it back and forth (from PH which is on the near side of Luxor from Paris).

This map is good a good one for the strip.

I mostly stay at PH now. To give you an idea, the Venetian is a 10-15 minute walk from PH, closer to 15. It is not a straight as you have to go up and down escalators and stairs due to a large highway you can't cross on foot and some construction between Bally's and Flamigos.

Luxor is just a bit further in a straight line and you still have to navigate an escalator, bridge and overpass, but only one and so it takes about the same amount of time as PH to Venetian. To me PH-Venetian or PH=Luxor in the other direction are about as far as I will walk without opting for a cab.

Yep. That is what I am gonna do if the new job I start next week will green light several days off in my first 30 days to go.

If they do, I am calling and booking the room then looking for the flight. Then tickets later.

Good map.

Does need updating some though. Imperial Palace is now the Quad owned by Cesar's Entertainment. Casino has been remodeled and is decent enough now, but the rooms are still very low end for a strip hotel. They are super cheap though. Probably the cheapest of any strip hotel.

Just secured Lower Bowl tickets for face value...whew. Lucked out twice now. My buddy and I did the Vegas thing with everyone else in '10-11
and it was fun but kind of old by the time we were to get on the bus. It is a LONG bus ride..but even LONGER back. Seemed to take forever. Luckily we won so it was a nice atmosphere. But we'll prob fly in to LAX or Ontario and find a hotel combo.
I've learned it is actually cheaper to book a flight/hotel/car together than it is to just book a flight...oddly enough.
ALl who are going to vegas and riding the Gus Buses ...have a blast and we'll catch you in Cali..Cali....
