Longwood signed an LOI so the new staff will have to release him. I'd imagine if we retain Ryan Miller (which probably would be smart), Longwood would stay

What coach that has won shite will come here?

People don't realize that Auburn basketball= Vandy football. We are gonna need someone to really build the program, and its going to take longer than 4-5 years.

Didn't mean tubby so no diaf for me this time...
It will take a while to build our program up but we need someone that can get it done... Bruce pearl sounds like a good plan throw some dollars his way... Give him control, it's not like we don't have new facilities... Get these high school kids in there with a proven winner and new shiny stuff...

Tubby did ok in Minnesota and his recruits won a championship. May bd mistaken on the later.

Jeff capel would be a solid risk/reward for us

Okay good Besides the fact Tubby just signed with Tech last year and did horrible, he wouldn't be a god awful hire just average and we would pay too much to get him here.

Ben Howland is truly the answer. He has had success at every stop. Took Northern Arizona to the Tourny, rebuilt a Pitt team coming off 7 years of not making the tournament and took them there 5 times in a row and won in the tournament. He was a multiple final four guy at UCLA as well

What about Harvard's Tommy Amakar? I posted a thread about him tRant the other day. I figure if he can recruit at Harvard then he should work magic at Auburn. He also has tourney experience

His wife's on faculty there so he might have to leave her behind cause we definently couldn't compete with that but he'd at least be worth a call

I think he is a good coach. Harvard always does well in their conference. He was up and down at Michigan. I think he would be better than what we have had the last two coaches, but that really isn't saying much.

I have a hard time believing that his wife would okay his move from Harvard. He has a great thing going there for himself, his wife does extremely well and tenured faculty at effing Harvard and Auburn is not a Kentucky/UCLA/blueblood

@AllenPayne2_: I can say this now... We'll struggle as long as we are under Under Armour.

I can understand why he feels for Barbee who was his coach. He was blaming Under Armour for no reason.
Under Armour didn't cause them to be in the bottom quarter of 3pt percentage in all D1 BBall, likely the same for FT %, having half the kids get kicked off the team or blow nearly every close game
