The only thing that determines your 5 year clock time is it starts the first semester you take a full class load. Even though Rollison signed with Auburn in 2009 if he did not take a full course load til 2011 at any 2 or 4 year school til the fall of 2011 then he would be a junior or RS Soph eligibility wise for the 2013 season.
Well, he was enrolled at Auburn during the fall of 2009 so his clock would have started there.

I did find this however on the transfer rules website which could explain how he could be a SO in 2012.
quote:

Five-year clock = In Division I, the first time you enroll in any two-year or four-year school as a full-time student, you start your five-year period of eligibility. You have five-calendar years from initial collegiate enrollment to play four seasons of competition — even if you are not enrolled in school at all or attend school part-time within that time frame.

10-semester/15-quarter clock = In Division II and III, you have 10-semesters or 15-quarters in which to complete all your seasons of competition. You use one of your 10-semesters or 15-quarters every semester or quarter you attended a two-year or four-year college and are enrolled full-time or are enrolled part-time and compete. Unlike Division I, in Division II or III, you are not charged during a term that you are not enrolled in school or attend school part-time.

I watched all of his videos from JuCo, and not just his Junior highlights, and I have no question that he will thrive under Gus Malzahn. Mark it down. We are about to be pretty good on offense.

Didn't you say the same thing about KF?

Well either we'll have a good offense, or you'll have a classic TTs melt. Either way, there will be entertainment. Here's hoping for the former

It couldve been anything... Like maybe not all his credits transferred from UGA. He may have lost a semester when he got kicked off the team, as well.

If he turns out to be Cam 2.0 - look for another investigation - whether real or not.
