Im a falcons fan. Im pleased they got Beasley. ATL needs defensive players. I thought the Falcons might get really stupid and take Gurley. Turns out it was the Rams.

I'm happy for Beasley. Just tears me up because it should have said Auburn next to his name instead of Clemson. Screw Chizik and his star gazing.

Yep. We are failing our talent. We have had enough talent to have one every year or every other year. We just are not getting them there

There are no excuses.

Drafts a LB,a bammer as an OC,no line, and 1 WR....Carolina hates Cam more than Bama and UGA does

I blame Gene Chizik for not landing Leonard Williams or offering Vic Beasley. That's two we should have had

Kind of surprised Coates hasn't gone....considering some of the WR's that went ahead of him.

Haven't been that talented for several years if we're being honest. Might explain the overall inconsistency of the program during that period.

I'd never admit this on tRant but we got some good breaks in 13 and Cam was an arbaration. Aside from those 2 years we've been a mediocre to average program. I believe the reason for this is related to our lack of NFL talent. Can't win consistently without it.

I expect things to pick-up with Muschamp here defensively and guys like Duke, JJ, and Jovon will get us back in the 1st round

Like who? Everyone that went so far is pretty easily a better receiver.

For starters.....a dude that didn't even play last year because he can't stay out of trouble.

So? Green-Beckham has like Top 10 talent. NFL teams have shown time and time again that they will gamble on upside like that in the ~2nd round. Why would you be surprised that he went over Coates? Because he was suspended LOL?

Wouldn't have mattered. His instincts are poor, his hands have been bad for years. If he comes back we spend another year of doing nothing but using him as a deep-threat that runs ~three routes. His stock is hurt because we type-casted him into one "role" and therefore his route running is poor.

I've said this before; Malzahn's offense hurts Receivers going forward in a lot of ways. We've got guys on the roster who do nothing but one specific thing. Coates: deep threat, Louis: end-arounds and screens, Uzomah: redzone. We don't give these guys the opportunity to develop all-around skills.
