If you can't realize that's not Herb Hand's fault like you implied then

Maybe we've got a math teacher who could spot tendencies?

You do realize who you are talking to, right?

Just because you infered it that does not mean I implied it.

I actually like the Hand hire if Gus will listen to him. But our depth is young and he has his hands full. Basically we are waiting on Ashley.

I think Brannigan was actually giving Hand a pass on this one

He did a pretty mediocre job at Penn State, but because he's friends with Gus it's ok I guess.
nah I'll stick with what he originally implied in this post as a valid reason for my remark

That wasn't Brannigan's post

All Brannigan implied was our depth is shite just like Penn St

That douche also thought we would suck royally in 2013. He knows what he's talking about. You can take that fricks insight with a grain.

I'm thinking Brannigan is trying to get Leff to have a Coleman type rebound season.

I sure hope it works because as hard as it is for me to say this, I agree with Brannigan when it comes to Leff.

Coleman had talent just raw and held a ton.

Leff doesnt hold because he isn't athletic enough to get in a position to hold

Oh I do too. He's no where near as athletic as Coleman. I'm just hoping something clicks and Brannigan gets to eat crow again.

The most we can hope for from Leff is a 2009 Andrew McCain type of performance. Nothing to boast about, but is not that large of a liability.

But Gus has trotted out some real stinkers at OL in his previous stint- Gay Blade Sullen, The Matador Greene, Coleman 2014, Dampeer, Slade.

If it fails, we are looking for a new coach next year. I like the way some other posters put it, this is the year for Gus to put up or shut up, and he's going to do it on his terms. We'll see how it goes.

Yep, sink or swim Gus is doing it his way. The rewards are just as great as the risks.

Sullen, Slade and Greene deserve to be on that list.

Dampeer and 2014 Coleman weren't great but they weren't in the above category

Dampeer was beyond terrible at C when Golston got hurt. We ended up starting Denzey at C in the IB. So do I have that backward?

Missed my point.

Why is the OC/HC now responsible for the OL that trotted out there? Isn't there a OL coach responsible for this? Haven't you stuck up for Grimes in 2011 because of attrition/recruiting problems in the past?

Why not blame the poor secondary in 2010 on Malzahn while we're at it? Or poor DL play in 2009?

Dampeer never started at C last year, slick.... never even saw the field after the SJS game.
