I am mildly concerned or maybe very respectful of the opponent we are facing. Snyder usually does a great job of preparing his teams. They also have taken a bye week to prepare, it's at home, but I am still confident we are the better team and will win comfortably.
We definitely can't be sluggish like we were last week and our secondary has to show some improvement. They have some playmakers on offense, but I really don't think their D can stand up to our offense when all is said and done.

Agreed with all of that. This might be a good game to wake the team up. We seem to be playing on autopilot and K-State probably won't allow that.

We won the first 2 games 104-34. Autopilot?

Eh, the offense looked like zombies during the SDSU game.

It looked like we were practicing some plays to me after Quans return.

but to not be at least mildly concerned means a person does not know how to respect an opponent.
these two things are mutually exclusive?
I respect Snyder and KSU plenty, but I'm also not concerned about auburn winning.

Why do you say that...because I'm confident auburn will win? Anything else you can tell me about myself?
So by respecting KSU, but being confident auburn will win (not concerned about losing) I'm ignorant/uninformed/lacking attention? Why can't I just be respectful and confident?

Defense looked and played like shite much of the first two games. I am worried about it. I think we are really missing not having legitimate rush DE's to keep that secondary from getting exposed.
Johnson tries blitzing to make up for it, but it puts our secondary in man coverage. A good QB will eat us up doing that without good DE's to crash the pocket routinely.

They were. Running plays multiple times in a row just to get it right, Marshall going throw-heavy for a couple series, etc. Which is fine, and I hope they only looked like zombies because of that fact.

I did.

quote:Respectfully disagree. The D has been good in the 2nd half and the D Line dominant.
defense looked like zombies.
Opposing teams' 2nd half offensive stats
17/31 for 169 yards passing, 3 sacks and 2 INTs (NFL QB Rating 43.6 = not good)
27 Rushes for 77 yards, 2.85 yards per rush. Take out 2 QB scrambles and you have
25 rushes for 33 yards, 1.32 yards per rush.

Why can't I just be respectful and confident?

said where? I just expect a win, actually I'm confident in a win and not concerned we lose. I expect we take control in the 4th and win by double digits.

Sure I do. I've already said i do, why are you so resolute in telling me I'm not? So again, why can't I be both respectful and confident. Am I just not respectful enough of KSU for you?

Dude...we are going to rape K State. We have an extra week of prep. In Gus I Trust.

Yeah, honestly that is what it looked like to me. Glorified practice in the 2nd half of both games. It's awesome, don't get me wrong... I just think a wake-up call would be good. I'd like to see us really explode with some big plays.

I'm sorry I used very poor judgement in word selection.
