Did you not read the other two points? Therezie will not play LB. He will play Star. Ryan Smith and Jermaine Whitehead will be at Safety. Kris Frost will be at LB. No Mackenro. Pretty simple.

I disagree. Ellis will play Therezie at the LB position in the Dime package when he needs to spy the Qb in passing situations late in the game

Reports from in the program are we are not using a spy much in this game and may not at all. FWIW.

IMO its probably not in their game plan to use a spy early because its basically a wasted defender if the QB doesnt leave the pocket...but late in the game, plans change and necessity will force him to spy Manziel, especially in the 4th quarter

Garrett being hurt greatly limits spy options. He & Therezie are the best spy options but with everything else Therezie is great at it will be hard to make the call to put him as a spy without Garrett out their playing with him.

I completely agree, which is why i was hoping Mackenroe steps it up this game...i have the feeling he will be getting more snaps than usual

Holsey imo is more hurtful depth wise, he is competent at safety. We have a competent back up in Smith. Overall I believe it can hurt us. How much is the question and I don't have an answer for that.

I believe Harding will now back up Smith, and losing Holsey is why his RS was lifted.

1. With the plan of playing him a good bit as the #3 or #4 CB today it's a big loss IMO considering TAMU's pass attack. 2. Jones and then White or Melton at CB. Ryan Smith now starts at safety. Not sure who next man up is there though.

Good point I was answering just looking at the safety position, but losing Holsey to play some corner in the dime hurts. That I can agree with.

Hoke and BMatt said they would address it this morning. They have not done so yet. My guess is the Holsey sitch was not supposed to be known til game time.

Did Jonathan Jones travel with the team? Malzahn said Thursday I think the decision hadn't been made yet.

Maybe not a traditional spy per se, but what are the chances we see Lawson playing his DE position like he did vs OM? He's athletic enough to be able to react to JFF in time I think.
