The offense set records that season.

Good grief I don't even have time to go into this wormhole

And the only bad game the offense had was at LSU...

Would love to hear more about how you determine bad games

Doesn't mean its not better than JJ....

Sure, but he's not the answer for our offense. Not by a long shot. Neither is the guy that has only practiced 1 day at QB since he's been on campus

Yup. Jason Smith is more athletic and moreelectric in space than NM was too

This is almost certainly incorrect.

Listing 2009 is a poor example. That team had a different style of oline. They could get a push without all the angles, etc...This 2015 line doesn't show that ability.

Todd had the benefit of a hurry up component that was relatively new to football. It helped the o.

As stated the O did struggle against any d in 2009 with a pulse save the Iron Bowl and they still struggled against them to some degree.

The only time Gus's offense has showed any consistency was in 2010 and 2013.

Sure Todd set records as did the offense, but that's because they'd score 60 in one game, then score 14 against LSU. We can't have that.

The offense stinks because JJ right now is not good at ANYTHING.

I still think he can fix it, but it has to start with him running without fear.

He looks good when Gus allows him to run the Read option. He isn't great at it like Nick Marshall, but the kid can move well for 6'5 and has some pop when he remembers he is 250 and bigger than most LBs

GOt to remember, he doesn't need to run for 20+ YPC. All Johnson needs to do is be a consistent threat for 4-6 yards. If he is that threat, the defense is forced to take him into account and change their scheme. Opens up passing lanes, opens up running lanes and makes his QB duties less overwhelming

Agree on all points.

I am still not writing off this season. Defense is bad, it will get better under Muschamp. Offense is killing us, but if Johnson runs like his size, with that speed, we can drive a field and help keep the D off the field.

He's got to stop turning the ball over.
