What about Chad Morris?
I think his heart is in Texas.

He obviously had incredible success at Clemson and has improved SMU, but let’s remember he has been away from the high-school game for less time than Gus Malzahn.

He definitely seems like a better offensive mind, but I don’t know if he’s ready.

I still think somebody's gonna take a chance on Dave Aranda being ready to be an HC within the next few months.

I wouldn't be unhappy if it was us.

I could be wrong, but I think Stoops has really retired. His dad died from a heart attack or something, and I think I read somewhere that he attributes his death to coaching.

I heard him on First Team with McElroy and Steve Spurrier. He is absolutely retired. He talked about going on recruiting trips with his son. I believe he is focused on his family now. Stoops is not coming back.

I like Justin Fuente. I think that is the main guy we should target if we can get Gus out the door.

I like Fuente as well, but I don't think he'd leave VPI after just two years.

His buyout would be $6 million if he leaves before 12/15/17, $5 million after.

Tier 1. Stoops Kelly

Neither of these are realistic. However, Scott Frost was under Chip Kelly's Oregon offense. He's doing an amazing turnaround at UCF.

Stoops retired, so he is very unrealistic.

Kelly is not employed as a coach, so I can't understand why people think he is not a realistic candidate. He may be a long shot, but there is nothing to indicate he is done with coaching forever.

Frost looks like the best candidate out there if Chip cannot be acquired.

First off he is a west coach guy and being connected to UCLA

Kelly left Oregon w a show cause and failure to monitor. Specifically, it is alleged he/staff were paying outside agents to drive players to Oregon

You think it is a good idea to hire a guy who got in trouble for the exact thing Person is under FBI investigation for?

NCAA already got upset about hiring Bruce during his show cause. Hiring Kelly who avoided his show cause would probably be similar

This is ridiculous and completely false. He is from the NE.

Were there more than just Willie Lyles. Don't remember much happening with LSU and they were in on it too. If he isn't under a current NCAA showcause, it should not matter.

Did Chip Kelly get arrested by the FBI? No, so it isn't even remotely the same.

He's probably going to UCLA. I don't think chip wants to be in the SEC. He's a very particular and private individual and SEC fans are ravenous about our teams. Los Angeles would fit him very well.

I'm starting to get on the Mike Bono train. Think it could be a real good fit.

Possibly so. Chip eats and breathes football, so it really comes down to whether or not he values privacy over commitment to football. I doubt that UCLA's facilities and overall support are on the same level with Auburn. UCLA also doesn't have a roster filled with top ten talent to takeover either.

Yeah, because the Eagle fans are really tame about their NFL team.

It would be awesome but chip has his choice at where he wants to go. Philly was him breaking into the NFL.

And his major college coaching, recruiting and connections are all on the west coast.

Whether or not he was arrested by the FBI doesn't change that Oregom paid agents as middlemen for players

You know, The exact same type of scheme FBI is investigating.

Not endorsing or unendorsing, but Bobo seems like a choice the AU powers that be would hire. It has that feel. Would kill to have him as our OC though!
